Jus In Bello 2 - Friday
Uhh.. where to start? At first I want to thank the academy all of you guys I met there, without you the convention wouldn't have been half as fun. Let me see if I can remember you all. loveinadoorway, katwoman76, kreespa, bflyw, sillie82, camui_zuuki, metalamazon, sillie82, thescenery, Julia (I forgot your LJ name -_-), MJ, Alan, Sandra, Susi, Holly.. did I forget someone? I know I did. Anyway, I want to thank all of you who I met and changed even a few words! Also, I got probably more hugs during that weekend than ever before in my life.
A huuuuuge thanks goes to the staff too! Daniela, Chiara, Francesca & co. I know they worked their butts off to make this convention happen. Of course not everything was perfect, but if you had problems and went to find someone from the staff, they always tried their best to help. And the staff guys, Francesco & co... jeez they had fun on Sunday night because of some Finnish words that meant dirty things in Italian. They sure made me laugh after I was a bit disappointed after Steve's concert :D
...This really feels like an award speech, doesn't it? Long and boring jabbering. Let's get to the point!
Guests this year were Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, Richard Speight, Jr., Sebastian Roché, Rob Benedict, Mark Sheppard and Chad Lindberg. And the awesome music guests were Jason Manns and Steve Carlson.
Jus In Bello - Day 1 - 8th of April
Friday started with some Rome sightseeing with Sandra, Angie and two of their friends (whose names I already forgot, because that's how good my memory is). We went to see the Colisseum, tried to avoid the dudes selling all kinds of crap and just walked around with our cameras in our hands like good tourists do. We were back at the hotel around 2pm, I probably went to change my clothes etc. and then went back down to wait with other people.
Before the convention I had feared that I would have no friends there but jeez I was wrong. I met all these awesome people who I've been talking with on twitter for the last year!
So yeah, they finally opened the doors a little bit late - but guess it was on Italian time ;) - and we could go in and find our seats. Or line up for autographs and photo ops. I didn't have either of those planned for Friday, because I knew it would be a chaos on the first day. So I went in the stage room and got all confused with the seating. They had somehow switched it the other way so my seat was on the right side of the hall instead of left. And I liked it better that way.
We didn't really have an opening ceremony because we were already a little late with everything, but Daniela welcomed us, etc. and then Sebastian and Mark started their panel.
We learnt pretty soon that Sebastian indeed is crazy and doesn't really have a filter between his brain and mouth. It was his first convention and he was already all over the place. Gotta love the man. And like probably every actor in this con, he had to play with the screen that was behind them. He was like "I can see my arm." and started flexing his quite nice arm muscles. By the way, he's a damn attractive man up and close :D
It got bizarre before the panel even really kicked off xD
"My name is Sebastian. And I play Balthazar."
whooooo!
"I'm Mark Sheppard and I play Crowley."
WHOOOOOOO!
"They like Crowley."
"Who doesn't like Crowley? Crowley is.. Crowley is dead, you know."
"He is?"
"Yea, he's dead."
"We're all dead."
...What? XD anyway, then someone from the crowd shouted that everybody dies and Mark was like "That's what they told me. They said everybody dies and I'm like "yyea, but do I get to come back?"" Sebastian then said that he can't say what happens to Balthazar. He gets raped by a lot of virgins or something. I think at this point every person in the room noticed how insane he is :D
After that was time for the questions.
Mark got asked about Doctor Who but I didn't really pay attention because I don't watch that show. I tried with the first episode and gave up. Aanyway, this is a good time to say, that holy shit I love their accents! I used to hate Brittish accent because I couldn't understand a word but I've been getting better. ..Back to the panel.
It was a time for a lil Sebastian show again. Something about his tweets and how he will lose his pants at some point and show his *peep* and stuff. Thank you Krista for mentioning his tweets xD Her real question was for Mark though. And I got it on the video so I am not going to write it down. Have the video instead:
Sebastian speaks probably like 10 different languages. Or at least English, French, Italian and a few words from many other languages.
Sebastian also told us how he didn't want to audition for Balthazar's role at first because he had tried three times before for Gabriel, Lucifer and Crowley. And obviously never got the part. Well, I for one, am happy that he's Balthazar now ^^.
Mark's favorite character is Crowley, "sexually ambiguous crossroads demon."
Then they also somehow started to talk about Sebastian's pool and that some ducks are using it for their own good. Mark then kindly pointed out that it's not a pool but a pond xD
Mark got asked about Leverage. Someone asked something like what was it like to fight with Christian Kane and lose the fight. And if he did all his stunts. Mark pointed out that he did not lose that fight. And that the idea for that scene came from his 11 year old son. Aww! He explained how Chris' character, Eliot, had to smash his character, Sterling, on some table and the table actually broke under them. They just went on with the scene but unfortunately the director yelled "cut".

And because every good convention has some panel crashing, Richard showed up. He went to the microphone to ask a question and Mark went all "I know this girl! She's been following me!"
Richard then told them how they're both awesome and that yes, he got Sebastian's room number and will come up later for drinks. He joined Mark and Seb on stage. Richard went straight to the table that had water etc. on it and took a water bottle and went to show it to Mark. "Actually I like the sparkling, please." Oh these guys <3
There was some talk about accents. And a question about who do they think they were in their past life. Sebastian was a French woman. Or a knight in a shining armor. Mark was Queen Elizabeth I.
Oh and just so you know, I'm surfing Youtube like crazy so I could find some videos from the panels :D My memory is so lousy.
Soo. After Mark and Sebastian left, Richard took over. And because Richard is awesome, he left the stage pretty soon and went to greet the fans at the back of the room and let people ask him questions there.
He asked people where they were from and somehow he ended up talking about his best friend who lives (or just got married?) in Norway. He told us this also last year when me and Noora gave him some Finnish candies and he tried to explain us about this some Norwegian candy that you put in your alcohol and the liquid turns blue after that. Aaaanyway! He also knew a sentence or two in Norwegian, it was something related to food, if I'm not too wrong, salmon.
Someone asked him what it's like to work with Mark Pellegrino and Richard said that Mark is lovingly scary guy. He freaked poor Richard out when they met at the first time. Richard told that Mark's one of those guys, who spend some time to get into their character and when Richard went all happy happy joy joy "hi, I'm Richard!" to Mark, Mark had been just creepy xD Then Richard contacted his wife and freaked out. Poor man, lol.
Someone then mentioned the Band of Brothers (I still need to watch it) charity project, where the actors jump off a plane. Richard said that he's never done that before, since he likes to actually stay inside the plane while he gets in.
Snoop, Richard's homie, is apparently pretty great dude too. And even taller than Jared, if you believe Richard. Though Jared would probably still win a fight since he wouldn't be stoned like Snoop. And pfft, Richard! Have you seen the muscles on that Padalecki guy?
According to Richard, there was nothing fake about that porn in Hammer of the Gods :D He then said that making that scene was a little bit awkward since he didn't know that actress at all. It was different with Kali's actress, since they had worked a little bit longer together, etc.
When asked about Gabriel's return to the show, Richard said that he would love to be back. He also said that it would be great to be back as the Trickster that the Trickster was before Gabriel took him as a meatsuit. ..Did that make any sense? Anyway. Actually I've been thinking the same before! It would be great to have him back as the Trickster too.
After Richard it was time for Jason and Steve to grab the mikes. It was a bit awkward since no one lined up to ask questions at first :D But I think these two are already used to it.
I think someone asked Steve about London, the guitar that fans bought him (or was it some different panel? anyway). I took a part of this thing too. He was so touched by the gesture and said that the guitar means a great deal to him now.
Then they talked about what characters they would like to be if they were on Supernatural. It got to a point where Jason's badass hunter would chase Steve's bad guy across the country even if it had nothing to do with the actual story. I would watch that xD
Steve also explained about the whole duck thing. He had mentioned somewhere how everyone should bring a duck to the show (or something) and next thing he knows, everyone really had bought rubber ducks and gave them to him. Then he actually had to ask his fans to stop bringing them since he didn't have enough space in his bags and he felt bad leaving them behind xD And that if he someday would bring a girl to home, she would probably freak out by the amount of ducks in his apartment.
..Is that really all I remember from that panel? Guys! What else did they talk about?
Well, since I can't remember, let's talk about Chad's panel.
Poor Chad didn't get any questions at first so he was all "Hi.. I'm Chad. I'm 34 and Scorpio."
When some questions finally got asked, he said that in his Heaven there would probably be his family and friends. And dinosaurs. Yeah.. what would be Heaven without dinosaurs? xD
And like I earlier said, there was panel crashing in this convention. SO at some point Steve found his way to the microphone and asked Chad's favorite curse and non-curse word. It was actually a pretty good question. I think Chad's favorites were fuck it and momentum. He also explained why they were his favorites, but pfft, as if I could remember. He returned the question to Steve, but I don't remember what he answered.
He got a question about I Spit On Your Grave, but I haven't seen that movie so I didn't really pay attention.
Of course Chad would love to be back on SPN too. He also explained that Ash's hair took a loot of work to get done. The extensions took about an hour to get done.
The only similarity between Chad and Ash is that they're apparently both quirky, but then Chad said that he's not a computer nerd even if he always plays one.
Someone asked about his tattoos and he showed them all for us. He has a scorpio on his left shoulderblade, Chinese sign on his shoulder meaning "courage" (but someone had told him that it might not mean that xD), a raindrop on his pelvis (he had a story for that one too, I just don't remember it) and a breastcancer awarness ribbon on his arm. His whole family got one when his mom defeated the breast cancer. He got huge applause after that ^^.
Someone asked him about his weirdest fan experience and he said that it's pretty weird when you're in a restroom and the dude behind you asks how it was to work with Vin Diesel xD I actually wanted to ask him about The Fast and The Furious (oh come on! that was my first favorite movie ever! and Dom/Brian was my first slash ship ever!) but somehow I'm afraid of that microphone. So when it got quiet and nobody was asking questions, I then asked from my seat what was it like to work with Vin Diesel. I was happy to get a laugh out of him xD He turned around and pretented to pee before answering. Oh Chad <3 I think he said Vin was a really great guy, etc. but I think he explained more about F&F on a different panel. So more later.
And I think it was in this panel where some girl asked if Chad could hug her friend and because of the sweetheart that he is, he did.
I guess that's all I remember from that one.
Theen! I know I said earlier that I had not planned to do any autographs or photo ops on Friday but I noticed that actually it was pretty good time to get Jared's photo op. So I got in the line, went inside and whoo-hoo! He was standing! A small victory dance in my head. I hadn't though anything cool for my photo ops. I thought that I just wanted at least one photo ops, where the guys were just smiling, since I already had two funny faces from Jared, Jensen and Misha. Then when I went in, Jared stopped me so he could (once again xD) read the text on my shirt. "What does it say? Death, our nation's number one killer. Haha! That's actually a really good one!" Tshihihi. Then, when he put his arm around me, something in my head snapped and once again I asked for a funny face -_-. When I was leaving I thought I heard him say he liked my hair but he also could've said that to the person after me :D
He looks awesome, I look like I have troubles smiling, even though that's my "meep" face. Also, he crushed me really close to him so my fauxhawk probably tickled his cheek and ear :D
Then it was Rob's panel. I think he stole everyone's hearts. Seriously! This guy is the sweetest thing ever!
He told us how in some scenes he had to stand on a box so he could fit in the same frame as the others xD
Then there was the usual "is Chuck really God?" question and Rob thought he was. And he hadn't even realized it when he read the script. It was only when he came on the set when everyone told him like "you're God" and Rob was all "o_O" and then all cool "yeah, I am". AWWWW!
He loves Misha, but when he had his first scene with him, Rob had freaked out because Castiel was so different from Misha xD Poor dude.
Rob was also so cute when he was all happy because at the end of The Real Ghostbusters he gets the girl. Because apparently he never gets the girl xD
He was soooo fanboying over Eddie Vedder. Once he got to the backstage with him and Eddie was talking with some other guy. Rob then asked this friend of a friend (or something) to pass him a cigarette and Eddie, without looking at Rob, handed him one. Rob was all "he heard me!" Watching him being all fanboy was so cute!
If he could choose to win an Oscar or a Grammy, he would pick the Oscar.
There were two God related questions. Like if Chuck was God in The End and what was the deal with Dean's amulet when it didn't burn when they met Chuck. But Because God is God, he makes the rules as he goes.
Christine asked Rob's playlist for a shitty day and he's one of those guys, who listens sad music just to become more sad xD awww! On his playlist there's Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Wilco and The Smiths.
After Rob's panel I then had time to get Sebastian's photo op. When I got to him he asked where I was from. Then I asked him to do a funny face. He was all excited to make one and I sneaked what he was doing before making my own face. After the pic was taken he was all "wait until you see the picture! I had a great face." or something xD Well, he looks great as hell (and has some amazingly long tongue) but me? Horrible as hell XD

I went to my room, posted some pics on twitter, gained like gazillion followers and then got ready for The Cocktail Party.
I was so tired I won't remember half of the stuff that happened there.
At least I got some familiar faces in our table when Susi and Alan were at the same table. Then there were a bunch of Italian and French people who didn't really speak English. Apart from Erika and Dario(?). We had no free seats on the table so everytime someone came, one of us had to stand up and give a seat to the actor. Well, they always tried to refuse but in the end sat down :D
I only remember Sebastian, Rob, Richard and Steve's visits. Sebastian asked everyone where they were from and when he got to me he was like "I know you, you're from Finland". And like you've probably already heard, he gave kiss to every girl in that room. His stubble tickled xD Seb also asked how our picture came out but I told him that I would only get it on Saturday.
Rob was all "O_O you came all the way from Finland?!" and I had to tell him that it's not THAT far away xD He then asked how it was to live there and that it must be safe and all. And that he would really love some peace too since LA is so busy, etc. I then told him to come to Finland someday. He was so cute! <3
Richard wasn't too pleased to see that I was drinking Coke Zero instead of Pepsi Max. He was also the only one who noticed that while I was holding my camera on top of the coke can, I took pics. He also noticed that one other girl was filming, stole the camera and went to film Jared too. That guy :D The rest of the time he pretty much just talked with Dario about Italy.
When Steve came to our table, Susi, who was sitting next to me, gave him her seat. It got a bit awkward when Steve started to sniff her and was all "You smell like my ex-girlfriend" XDD Susi then sat on my knee and Steve went on about his ex-girlfriend or something and before he left the table, he had to sniff Susi one more time XD
The only one I asked for a picture was Chad since we were his last table. Oh and he was like "So, which one of you came the longest way?" When I told him I'm from Finland he declared me as a winner.
Aaand as you probably know, Jared and Genevieve paid us a visit too. People pretty much went all nuts and paparazzi when they entered the room. I was all yay too, but I've met Gen before in Barcelona streets and we actually talked for a while too, so I wasn't too "OMGOMGOMG" about it. Of course I was really happy to see them there ^^. What I hated was that even though staff asked people to sit down, they followed J&G through the whole room snapping pictures with flashes. Even when they sat down on the Prophet pass tables, people were standing behind the tables and just took pics after pics. And iut went on until Jared and Gen were gone.
I think I liked last year's Cocktail Party a bit more, but just because this one was such a chaos after Jared and Genevieve arrived.

That was all for Friday. Saturday will be here in another.. two weeks? xD I don't even know if someone still reads these because JIB was almost three weeks ago, but I like to read these so :D

Someone asked him about his weirdest fan experience and he said that it's pretty weird when you're in a restroom and the dude behind you asks how it was to work with Vin Diesel xD I actually wanted to ask him about The Fast and The Furious (oh come on! that was my first favorite movie ever! and Dom/Brian was my first slash ship ever!) but somehow I'm afraid of that microphone. So when it got quiet and nobody was asking questions, I then asked from my seat what was it like to work with Vin Diesel. I was happy to get a laugh out of him xD He turned around and pretented to pee before answering. Oh Chad <3 I think he said Vin was a really great guy, etc. but I think he explained more about F&F on a different panel. So more later.
And I think it was in this panel where some girl asked if Chad could hug her friend and because of the sweetheart that he is, he did.
I guess that's all I remember from that one.
Theen! I know I said earlier that I had not planned to do any autographs or photo ops on Friday but I noticed that actually it was pretty good time to get Jared's photo op. So I got in the line, went inside and whoo-hoo! He was standing! A small victory dance in my head. I hadn't though anything cool for my photo ops. I thought that I just wanted at least one photo ops, where the guys were just smiling, since I already had two funny faces from Jared, Jensen and Misha. Then when I went in, Jared stopped me so he could (once again xD) read the text on my shirt. "What does it say? Death, our nation's number one killer. Haha! That's actually a really good one!" Tshihihi. Then, when he put his arm around me, something in my head snapped and once again I asked for a funny face -_-. When I was leaving I thought I heard him say he liked my hair but he also could've said that to the person after me :D
He looks awesome, I look like I have troubles smiling, even though that's my "meep" face. Also, he crushed me really close to him so my fauxhawk probably tickled his cheek and ear :D
Then it was Rob's panel. I think he stole everyone's hearts. Seriously! This guy is the sweetest thing ever!
He told us how in some scenes he had to stand on a box so he could fit in the same frame as the others xD
Then there was the usual "is Chuck really God?" question and Rob thought he was. And he hadn't even realized it when he read the script. It was only when he came on the set when everyone told him like "you're God" and Rob was all "o_O" and then all cool "yeah, I am". AWWWW!
He loves Misha, but when he had his first scene with him, Rob had freaked out because Castiel was so different from Misha xD Poor dude.
Rob was also so cute when he was all happy because at the end of The Real Ghostbusters he gets the girl. Because apparently he never gets the girl xD
He was soooo fanboying over Eddie Vedder. Once he got to the backstage with him and Eddie was talking with some other guy. Rob then asked this friend of a friend (or something) to pass him a cigarette and Eddie, without looking at Rob, handed him one. Rob was all "he heard me!" Watching him being all fanboy was so cute!
If he could choose to win an Oscar or a Grammy, he would pick the Oscar.
There were two God related questions. Like if Chuck was God in The End and what was the deal with Dean's amulet when it didn't burn when they met Chuck. But Because God is God, he makes the rules as he goes.
Christine asked Rob's playlist for a shitty day and he's one of those guys, who listens sad music just to become more sad xD awww! On his playlist there's Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Wilco and The Smiths.
After Rob's panel I then had time to get Sebastian's photo op. When I got to him he asked where I was from. Then I asked him to do a funny face. He was all excited to make one and I sneaked what he was doing before making my own face. After the pic was taken he was all "wait until you see the picture! I had a great face." or something xD Well, he looks great as hell (and has some amazingly long tongue) but me? Horrible as hell XD

I went to my room, posted some pics on twitter, gained like gazillion followers and then got ready for The Cocktail Party.
I was so tired I won't remember half of the stuff that happened there.
At least I got some familiar faces in our table when Susi and Alan were at the same table. Then there were a bunch of Italian and French people who didn't really speak English. Apart from Erika and Dario(?). We had no free seats on the table so everytime someone came, one of us had to stand up and give a seat to the actor. Well, they always tried to refuse but in the end sat down :D
I only remember Sebastian, Rob, Richard and Steve's visits. Sebastian asked everyone where they were from and when he got to me he was like "I know you, you're from Finland". And like you've probably already heard, he gave kiss to every girl in that room. His stubble tickled xD Seb also asked how our picture came out but I told him that I would only get it on Saturday.
Rob was all "O_O you came all the way from Finland?!" and I had to tell him that it's not THAT far away xD He then asked how it was to live there and that it must be safe and all. And that he would really love some peace too since LA is so busy, etc. I then told him to come to Finland someday. He was so cute! <3
Richard wasn't too pleased to see that I was drinking Coke Zero instead of Pepsi Max. He was also the only one who noticed that while I was holding my camera on top of the coke can, I took pics. He also noticed that one other girl was filming, stole the camera and went to film Jared too. That guy :D The rest of the time he pretty much just talked with Dario about Italy.
When Steve came to our table, Susi, who was sitting next to me, gave him her seat. It got a bit awkward when Steve started to sniff her and was all "You smell like my ex-girlfriend" XDD Susi then sat on my knee and Steve went on about his ex-girlfriend or something and before he left the table, he had to sniff Susi one more time XD
The only one I asked for a picture was Chad since we were his last table. Oh and he was like "So, which one of you came the longest way?" When I told him I'm from Finland he declared me as a winner.
Aaand as you probably know, Jared and Genevieve paid us a visit too. People pretty much went all nuts and paparazzi when they entered the room. I was all yay too, but I've met Gen before in Barcelona streets and we actually talked for a while too, so I wasn't too "OMGOMGOMG" about it. Of course I was really happy to see them there ^^. What I hated was that even though staff asked people to sit down, they followed J&G through the whole room snapping pictures with flashes. Even when they sat down on the Prophet pass tables, people were standing behind the tables and just took pics after pics. And iut went on until Jared and Gen were gone.
I think I liked last year's Cocktail Party a bit more, but just because this one was such a chaos after Jared and Genevieve arrived.
Ignore my tired face, adore Chad's tired face.
That was all for Friday. Saturday will be here in another.. two weeks? xD I don't even know if someone still reads these because JIB was almost three weeks ago, but I like to read these so :D
