Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu have been dating for about 4 weeks now. Yoochun’s love proposal during the championship game really made Junsu realize how much he loves Yoochun. And of course like every other couple, the Yoosu couple is starting to encounter some problems as well.

“Yah, Park Yoochun.” Junsu said as he bounded over his unsuspecting boyfriend.

“Baby! What are you doing here?” Yoochun asked, surprised at his boyfriend’s appearance.

The two had graduated from high school and is now enjoying their first summer vacation as a couple.

Yoochun has been recruited by one of the country’s top college basketball teams, the Poppin’ Dragons, and is currently joining the team’s practices to be more adapted to the team once the new school year starts. Agents scouted him during the championship match that their school eventually won, due to the fact that the star player finally got back to his game, and led the team to victory.

Junsu on the other hand, was trying to save money for his college tuition fee and had finally found several part-time jobs like being a helper at a small home mart near their old school and being a tutor to several students.

He wants to save money for his tuition fee because he decided to go to the same school Yoochun got scouted to. And unfortunately for Junsu, the tuition fee was a bit too costly and thus, he had to find a way to get some money, all the while refusing the financial help offered by his boyfriend who got into the school with an athlete’s scholarship.

~Flashback~

“Suie-yah, please let me help with your tuition.” Yoochun begged as his accompanied his boyfriend who was looking for a job.

“Oh come on Chunnie-yah, I can manage.” Junsu answered, not even sparing a glance at Yoochun. “And besides, if I do well on my studies, I can apply for a scholarship as well after the first semester.”

“But babe, I don’t want you to be working somewhere!” Yoochun protested. “What if something happens to you and I’m not there to protect you?”

“And you still have that tutoring job, I don’t want you to overwork yourself.” Yoochun continued, looking worriedly at his boyfriend.

“Baby, I’m not gonna be applying as a construction worker or something!” Junsu chuckled. “I promise I will find a great and safe job….like this one! A helper at a home mart!”

“But babe! Many people will be ogling at you!” Yoochun said not giving up.

“Geez, protective much?” Junsu said as he stopped walking and stared right into Yoochun’s eyes. “Baby, you’re the only one who would even spare a second glance at someone as ordinary as me.”

“You’re the hot, popular basketball player. I should be the one worried!” Junsu continued as he wrapped his arms around his boyfriend’s neck.

“What are you talking about?” Yoochun pouted. “You clearly don’t know how attractive you are.”

Yoochun wrapped his arms around his boyfriend’s waist.

“Babe, you’re the only one for me. I promise never to change and always be your Chunnie okay?” Yoochun said as he pecked Junsu’s soft lips. “And also, how can I even think of looking at someone else when I already have you by my side?”

“Cheesy.” Junsu smiled sincerely as he enjoyed being in Yoochun’s arms. “Now stop whining and come with me inside the home mart to inquire about the job.”

Yoochun groaned but still let Junsu drag him inside the home mart.

~End of flashback~

But as the weeks pass, the couple had noticed that they were spending lesser time with each other because of all the conflicts in their schedule. If Junsu does not have work, then Yoochun would be at practice, and if Yoochun was free then Junsu would have one of his part time jobs.

“I wanted to wait for you to finish your basketball practice so we can have dinner together before I go to the home mart.” Junsu answered his boyfriend.

“Aigoo Susu, baby. I’m sorry but today is the team captain’s birthday so the team will throw a birthday party for him.” Yoochun said as he tenderly stroked his boyfriend’s cheek.

“Oh.” Junsu’s smile disappeared as a sadness filled his features. “Then I guess we can have dinner next time.”

“Baby, call me next time so we can make plans together okay?” Yoochun said as he tried to comfort Junsu.
“Or I can just go to the party a little later so we can spend some time together.”

“It’s okay Chun, you go enjoy yourself tonight.” Junsu said, trying hard to smile. “We can have a better date next time.”

“Okay baby. I have to go now, practice is about to start.” Yoochun said and hastily kissed Junsu’s forehead. “I’ll call you later baby.”

Yoochun ran off towards the basketball court, leaving Junsu, looking sadly at his retreating figure.

“Bye baby, happy 1st Monthsary.” Junsu whispered sadly to himself.

“Hey Junsu, why so blue?” Hyukjae asked as he kept Junsu company in the home mart.

“You know Hyukkie, you don’t have to stay here.” Junsu said. “I know you have other things to do as well.”

“Nonsense! I can’t just leave my beautiful friend all alone in this place.” Hyukjae answered. “And you have to close this place tonight, which means you will finish a bit late.”

“I want to walk you home tonight.” Hyukjae added.

“Hyuk, I’m a guy you know. I can take care of myself.” Junsu defended.

“Your assets tell me otherwise. ”

“HYUKKIE!!!!”

“I know, I know. I’m sorry.” Hyukjae chuckled. “It’s just that you’ve been looking quite down these days and I want to cheer you up a bit.”

“So spill…What’s wrong?” Hyukjae probed.

“N..nothing Hyukkie, I just have a lot on my mind lately.” Junsu looked down.

“You’re the worst liar ever Su.” Hyukjae frowned. “Is it Yoochun?”

When Junsu didn’t answer, Hyukjae immediately knew he was correct.

“I knew it! What did Park do to you Su??” Hyukjae probed angrily.

The bell on the door of the store suddenly ringed, signaling the arrival of a customer.

“We’ll talk later.” Hyukjae said.

“Hi, what can I do for you?” Junsu asked not looking at the customer.

“I didn’t know you worked here, cutie.” A familiar, husky voice said.

“Hwang Chansung!” Hyukjae exclaimed.

“I… Hi Chansung.” Junsu blushed involuntarily.

“Oh would you look at the time.” Hyukjae said as he looked at his wristwatch.

“I really need to run some more errands for my mother, but I don’t want to leave Junsu behind.” Hyukjae said, looking troubled.

“It’s okay Hyukkie, I can manage.” Junsu smiled. “I just need to close the shop anyway.”

“But I don’t want you walking home by yourself. Hey Chansung, can you walk my friend home for me?” Hyukjae asked.

“We don’t want cutie here being molested by some random, drunk guy.”

“I… You don’t have to Chansung! I can take care of myself!” Junsu protested. “Stop it Hyukkie! Just go home before your mom gets mad.”

“It’s okay Junsu, I can walk you home.” Chansung smiled sincerely. “Besides, I can always use some extra exercise.”

“But I still have one hour left on my time.” Junsu said.

“I’m sure Chansung will wait! I’ll get going now, bye Su!” Hyukjae said as he quickly ran out of the home mart.

“Hyukkie!!!” Junsu tried to protest but Hyukjae was already gone.

“It’s okay Junsu, I will wait.” Chansung said as he stepped beside the counter.

“So, what do you want to do for the rest of your time?” Chansung asked charmingly.

~~~
The rest of Junsu’s shift seemed to fly by as he and Chansung spent time talking and knowing each other.
“So I heard you and Park really got together?” Chansung asked.
“Err..yeah, I couldn’t really resist him after what he did that day.” Junsu blushed.
“Oh yeah, I hope you didn’t get hurt when Yoochun pushed you that day.” Junsu said, concerned about Chansung.
“Nah, I’m fine.” Chansung chuckled.
The pair tidied up a bit around the store and eventually locked up as Junsu’s shift has ended.
“Chansung-ah, you really don’t need to walk me home…I think I’ve bothered you enough today.” Junsu smiled politely at Chansung.
“No, I really would like to walk you home. It’s already 11pm and I wouldn’t want anything to happen to you.” Chansung replied. “And besides, I think your house is on the way towards my house…I can send you home first.”
“I…thank you.” Junsu smiled and blushed a little.
“You’re so cute, always blushing.” Chansung smirked. “Better not be falling for me, or Park will kick my ass!”
“I…of course not.” Junsu looked away quickly.
“I’m just kidding cutie.”
“Oh yeah Chansung, you forgot to buy what you needed from the home mart.” Junsu realized. “I’m sorry.”
“Would you be working here tomorrow?”
“Yes.”
“Then I guess that gives me a reason to come back again tomorrow.” Chansung said, as he looked straight into Junsu’s eyes.
“Errr…to buy what you needed?” Junsu said as he squirmed a bit at Chansung’s stare.
“Yes…to buy what I needed.” Chansung replied.
“What did you wanted to buy anyway?” Junsu asked, curiously.
“Bananas.”
