One Missed Call: Someone's cell phone rings with an unfamiliar tone. The call almost instantly goes to voicemail. As if this and the unsual ringtone weren't enough, the message seems to be from that person's own phone -- dated exactly two days in the future. When the person listens to the message, they'll hear their own voice. At first it's just casual conversation, the type that could be spoken to anyone. But then they hear the sound of their own screams...
((Get the call. Have your character die and be possessed for 24 hours.))
The Noh Mask: The mask was originally owned by a shite (actor) of the fifteenth century. He was well-known for his roles as human men who through action turned into demons and vengeful spirits. He died in the middle of one of his performances and the mask that he was wearing was declared cursed. It was hidden away for hundreds of years. It eventually came into the possession of the apartment building's original owner. He mocked the curse by putting the mask on.
Later that night, he entered the apartment building and slaughtered several of the tenants on the first floor before disappearing.
((Find the mask in your closet. Have it get damaged while in your possession or put it on for possession.))
Wishing Stairs: A set of 28 stairs that lead up the hill behind the apartments. The legend says that if you climb them, wishing for something with all your heart and counting aloud, sometimes a 29th step will appear and the Fox Spirit will grant your wish. Never before has "Be careful what you wish for" been so true.
