Jed Bartlet: "...'Crime. Boy, I don't know,' is when I decided to kick your ass."

"I think the intelligence I get is darn good intelligence, and the speeches I have given were backed by good intelligence."
--- President G.W. Bush, 07.13.2003 ---Christ, ladies and gentlemen... this is our Chief Executive. I'm sorry, but I was just reminded that I need to send in my voter registration so I can vote against this guy in November ( Read more... )

He is a bit of a Curious George........ c_red July 22 2004, 23:01:32 UTC
Man, why can't Jed Bartlet be our president? I think I'd vote for a fictional character over George Bush any day........

Take note of Hendrix's cover of "Like a Rolling Stone"....I think it's the final track on the red cd of the boxed set....also, his cover of "Gloria" is somewhere on those four, and it's awesome too......

If you ask ME, Curious George is a hell of a lot cuter. Bush is just a chimp! jiggymarie July 23 2004, 04:27:45 UTC
I'm pretty sure I've said that about ol' Josiah myself... said that to you even. (Idea stealer!) Hahaha. I kid, I kid.

I'd vote for Curious George over Bush any day. I'd even vote for one of those chimps over Bush. The chimp is probably smarter.

Both great tracks that you mentioned. But, honestly... is there anything that Hendrix has done that isn't great? I really haven't found anything yet that I don't like.

Only his cover of "Sunshine of Your Love." Highly inferior.

Inferior?
Well, yes... inferior to Cream's version. Hell yes! You'd never hear me claim otherwise. You know Eric Clapton has always been near the top of my list.
But, generally inferior... compared to other music?
No... I'd say it's still good... it's just not better than Cream's. But, that doesn't make it bad. It has it's own Hendrix-flair, which practically makes it a different song anyway... different sound at least... just different... not bad.

Dude, it may be 5 in the morning here, but are you seriously challenging me on Jimi? c_red July 23 2004, 11:30:45 UTC
So--yes it's inferior, yes, it's 5 in the morning, but moreover, no it's not good. Are you really challenging the guru of Hendrix? I burn the midnight lamp for real, pal! You are mere acid in the headband of my Jimi knowledge!

Barry: "That's bullshit!"
Rob: "How can it be bullshit to state an opinion?!?"
Barry: "Scuse me....when did this become a fascist regime?"

Hahahaha... dude, it's sad, because it's much later here (in the morning, that is,) but you know I'm still awake. Ok, ok, ok... yes, you are the almighty guru of Jimi. There is no doubt. This is simply a difference in opinion. I didn't find any reason to not like the song. It is what it is. It is NOT Cream's version, which I would pick any day of the week over Jimi's, but I thought it was fine. But, you know, I apologize, because you are the great knowledgeable one, a lemon lymanhead of sorts, and I bow to your feet.
