(no subject)
Well, I went back to work officially on the 20th and have finished the first week of school. To say it sucks is putting it mildly. We are on a modified block scheduling and so far, I am not a fan. Maybe it's the schedule, maybe it is the students. They seem to be unbearable this year, which I have never said this early in the school year. I have already had to give a couple of them written citations. Lame! Speaking of which, I should go to work early tomorrow and give them their seating chart. I thought about being nice and letting them "choose their seat" but nope, not some classes. I hate being such a bitch, but screw them. If they want to be assholes, I'll be one too. What a way for a teacher to be talking, but I cannot help it. I must have been spoiled by my 7th graders last year; they were so bright and well-behaved (for the most part). Besides not being too bright, these ones are jerks too. Uggh. It's too early to be bitching! Needless to say, I am happy I have two months off coming here about 10 weeks ;)
Speaking of that, I am probably going to have the baby sometime around November 10th. We have found out that the baby is already a little bigger than normal, she is weighing about 2lbs 15 ozs and should have been, around the time of the ultrasound, been about 12 ounces lighter. The doctor is concerned with the size of her abdomen. It is typical of diabetics to have larger than average babies, so she had told me not to worry, but it's tough not to. I asked the doctor if there was a way I could pace her weight gain, but she said no and that she doesnt want me trying to lose any weight either. Funny she thinks that, I think I could stand to lose a few (I have gained 28 lbs), but whatever the doctor says, I'll do. We go for the 4d ultrasound not this coming Saturday, but the Saturday of my baby shower, the 13th. Sean doesn't want to go, he wants to wait until she is born to see what she looks like and I can respect that. This is more for me anyway, since I am impatient :P I'm excited though, I know my sisters and my mom are going and probably my friend Kym, so that will be fun! We still haven't chosen a name yet, it is really hard for us to choose a name that we both like. I hope one will come to us before she is born; otherwise I guess we will wait until she is born and see what "fits".
This weekend was fun, I took Tate up to Lee Canyon on Saturday to get some fresh air and enjoy some company of other kids but we got lost and everyone had gone before we made it. Needles to say, we enjoyed the cool temps and did some hiking and came home. I took him for lunch at McDonalds so he could play on the kiddie gym and whatnot, then we went to the library to read books. He wore me out! That night though, Valerie, Tommy and the kids came into town and we hung out for a little bit. Sunday was Val's birthday so we went to the water park and enjoyed some sun and then bbq'ed later that night. Today I have been pretty lazy, I went to WalMart to get a few things, including two new tires. I need to get four but I didnt want to dish out all that money because this weekend coming up I also need Tommy to fix my rotors. Car maintenance, fun fun!
I hope the temperatures start to cool down soon, it was nice today but still too hot for my taste..........I'm cookin a baby in here! :P
