Today Mr. Morello had us sewing. Oh what fun that was. No really, it wasn't that bad. I thought it was funny to see us all sitting in our little sewing circle talking about the movie How to Make an American Quilt.
Anyway, he had us doing it to encourage our puppet/mask project. To be honest, I am really confused with this puppet/Conference of the Birds project that we have going on here. I just feel like (as with all the projects in this class) that its really unorganized. Its not to say that it's Mr. Morello's doing, but new things are always coming and going and sometimes its just hard to keep track of it all. Our outline type thingys are due on the final, which should be interesting. I get the assignment, but this whole group dinamic thing isn't working out so hot. And I have my concerns that we are getting ourselves in way over our heads. I am looking at some of the types of masks that we are researching and I am not seeing us very able to recreate them. Call me the rationalist here (or a fatalist which ever), but I can just see us as a group being very over zealous with the idea and then kinda sitting on our asses and watching it all slip by until the last second where we throw something completely half assed together. This is stress that I don't really want to deal with. I think that its great that Anthony as been working his butt off to get things done with this project. I just wish that the group would see that maybe his idea is the most realistic at this point. Oh well, there is not a whole lot that can be done at this point. We pretty much just need to get our acts together on this one and get it all done. Oh what fun!
