lordy lordy look who's . . . . uh 23 and 50 days old
Alrighty then i realize it's been a while since i've updated and or even seen most of you fools. I must apologize because most of this is gonna be a rant on life, but not all of it.
1. fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck comcast. i fucking hate watching tv and seeing those bullshit comcast commercials advertising how much faster their cable internet service is compared to dsl. sure it may be faster, but who the fuck cares unless you "need" it to play online games and when i say "need" i mean you have no fucking life otherwise. sure it's faster than dsl but you gotta pay out the ass for it. do i have cable internet, yes. am i happy about it no. verizon in all their intimate wisdom decided to not be close enough to our house for us to get dsl, but hopefully when they run those vios lines i can get that, then i'm gonna make a nice little video about how ass their service is and send it to them. besides being hella expensive, i've had more problems getting a working modem from them than i have hairs on my nuts. that and they ain't union.
2. i've come to learn that electricians are the rodney dangerfields of the construction industry. all day long we get bitched at to do every little fucking whiniy job, and when we finally get time to do our real job we're rushed because we aint working fast enough. well fuck me if i wasn't going around dealing with all the shit that you could have had me done months ago, i'd be caught up. this all boils down to the fact that i'm working on a 18 floor apartment complex. around mid oct we were wireing an entire floor consisting of 9 apartments varying in different sizes a week. but then the main contractor was complaining that we were working too fast for them. so we slow down and start doing other things. but then we have to come back and work our asses off inorder to get done on time for the big wigs. had we been able to work at the same speed the entire job, we would have been done with all the floors before thanksgiving, or at least mid dec. but instead we're finally getting done now, and of course everyones in a big rush to get the job done on time.
3. i got this other first year apprentice with me named damon. fucking ass hole. bascially i'm reliving highschool again becasue all he does is fucking talk shitty to me. and the worst part is that i also have class with him on wed. he thinks that since he was some hot shot contractor before he got into the union he knows everything. all i can say is that he told me all he's doing in the union is getting the medical benefits which is exactly what the union doesn't stand for. he's all bout himself.
two weeks ago he left our job, and the day after he left i noticed one of my tools was missing. now i didn't say nothing to noone, just that my tool was missing. i didn't say anything to him last week in class, but yesterday i asked him if he saw anyone take it from my bag and he's like, oh yeah i had to borrow it and i meant to put it back, but i kept forgetting and i then i just took it home with me. now i'm fine with letting him borrow my tools even though he treats me like shit, i'm even fine with him using them without telling me, but walking off with them is fucked up. especially when i have afeeling that had i not said anything, he just wouldn't have come back to the jobsite with it.
aside from that everything is great. patty and i are happy, the house is good. the gas bill is crazy, but i knew it would, and i got my first raise this week. only 4.5 years till i'm making close to 60/hour.
fran call me this weekend if you get some time we gotta hang out.
and for those in tues. guild i'm gonna try and have tues. guild saturdays at my house soon, i just gotta know what everyones schedule is like, mainly fran, derek, and natalie.
