Belated Merry Christmas, everyone! Ours was exceptionally small (almost only my immediate family, but bonus: don't have to write thank you notes!). I got lots of clothes from my brother, money to go out shopping this week, a HD webcam (time to start up my saucy video service), and some stuff for the kitchen. Mind you, I did get a brand-new car earlier this year, so I'm perfectly fine with my haul.

My beloved doodykrista came over for Christmas dinner with the fam and to spend the night. She brought her adorable pup Penny, so I've been in dog heaven this week. I also forced them to watch the Doctor Who special.

It was okay. I really liked last year's special and "The Runaway Bride" and this was probably more around "The Next Doctor" level. Am glad to see it end on an uplifting note, however. BBCA was marathoning the previous Christmas specials, and I turned the TV on at one point in the middle of "The End of Time" and I was all "NOPE" and changed the channel. I think the ending scene when Eleven goes to see Amy and Rory made that episode for me. Unfortunately, I knew it was coming because fucking Tumblr spoiled it for me months ago (TARDIS in front of the Pond residence and snow... BINGO), but it was still heart-warming.

There was Ponds and water guns and ugly sweaters and holding out for hugs. When Eleven started happy-crying, I made a very audible noise. No one should be alone on Christmas, indeed. DOCTOR, YOU'RE LEARNING.

Unfortunately, I think I'm coming down with a cold. I woke up with a scratchy throat and now, my nose is really stuffed up. Time to overdose on Nyquil and crash on the couch to watch terrible movies.
