It's hot as balls.

I drove down to Connecticut yesterday to meet up with my parents and my grandma. Dad was in town attending his 40th high school reunion (SO OLD), so I decided to crash his.

It was a bit tough seeing my grandma. Her health took a huge downswing ever since my aunt was diagnosed with cancer. She's not exactly sick... she's just gotten older. Her balance is completely gone, so she was using one of those rolling walker things to get around anywhere. She doesn't partake in conversations anymore, she just sits there and listens to everyone. Her memory is pretty much gone, or at least the short-term part of it. We had pizza for lunch today, which she enjoyed a lot, and ten minutes later, she asked when we were having lunch. Her husband makes every single decision for her. She has changed so much in the past five years and it makes me incredibly sad.

The reunion part was fun. My dad grew up in Conn, and he still has a lot of friends who live in the area, so whenever we visit, we make it a point to visit some. A lot of them haven't seen me in a decade, so it was weirding them out that I drinking with them. Also, I could not stop drinking last night. I legit felt super tipsy. It also could have been due to the heat (104 degrees with a heat index of 110, baby!), I wasn't drinking water and I hadn't really eaten anything for din. I woke up feeling sooooo gross.

My ten year reunion was also this weekend, but I chose not to go. I already keep in touch with the people I want to see post-high school on Facebook and none of them were going.

Anyway, super short trip, it was Fitz's first long(er) distance trip and I have discovered that he does not like going faster than 80 mph. Which I suppose is good, but not when you have an 18-wheeler right on your ass and you can't speed up.

In closing, have a trailer for the Legend of Korra (because I already spammed it everywhere else). It looks beautiful.
