SPARKLE HO.

Wow, it’s been almost two weeks since I last updated. I’ve been reading and occasionally leaving comments, but lately, I don’t feel like I have anything to say. Work is work is work. I’ve been storyboarding on a new project that’s been fun and challenging, since this company’s storyboards are practically animated themselves. It’s very intimidating to meet those expectations. I’ve been briefly moved to helping out finishing the intro to a pilot series that I hope hope HOPE gets picked up (if not for its super adorableness, then for me having a job). Keep those fingers crossed!

But otherwise, nothing really new. I got super antsy this weekend and went out for some things at a CVS and came back six hours later after a spontaneous shopping detour waaaaaaaaay out of town.

ANYWAY. My apartment is almost completely set up to where I deem it acceptable. My room is still messy (as usual), but I keep the living room pretty clean. So I took some pics!

Ta da! Technically, my living room is actually the dining room, and Cotton’s room is the actual living room. His couch and TV are much bigger than mine, but I got the bigger bedroom, complete with enclosed personal porch. The chandelier was initially much lower, so low that *I* was knocking my head on it. It was hastily hoisted up by an S-hook, but you can’t tell unless you’re really looking.

The other side of the room, looking in from Cotton’s living room. We have two living room set-ups since we have two of everything. It’s also nice to not fight over the TV as well, since he plays lots of video games and I watch lots of movies.

I LOVE MY RUG. I found it at a Marshalls for ridiculously cheap.

My TV feels like it gets smaller and smaller each time I move. Or my apartments are getting bigger and bigger.

Why yes, I am watching Batman Beyond, thanks for noticing! I’ve been marathoning Batman, Batman Beyond and now I’m on Superman. I loaded my Netflix queue with a metric ton of Justice League.

I love the china hutch. It was one of the reasons I liked this apartment a lot. I didn’t need to buy another bookcase!

Sorry for the glare, but some LJ friends can possibly see copies of their books hidden in there somewhere.

I like my odds and ends display. My coyote skull, muskrat skull and Fijian brain fork all hanging out in the middle, an unfinished nesting doll I have plans for after I finish TWB, a vintage tin plate with Disneyland on it from my aunt. <3

Couuuuuuuuuuuuuuch. Cousbian, you can see your South African… wall hanging(?) there on my Morrocan table

I’m about ten DVDs away from having a full case before I have to start doubling up. It’ll happen soon, mark my words.

I bought a tea set so Mulder, Scully and Amy could have tea parties. Now I just need to figure out how to attach it to their plastic hands.

It’s about 95% done. I’m still debating about putting up artwork because the walls are made of plaster and kind of crumble easily. Supposedly, the moudling above has something specifically for hanging frames, but I don’t know what weight it can withstand. EXPERIMENTATION TIME.
