Chicks Dig Time Lords

Mar 18, 2010 13:07

I’ve been failing on my part to do promotions, so let’s kick that to the side, shall we?

Chicks Dig Time Lords is finally available to the Universe for those who were not able to pick up a copy from Gallifrey. I -- and by I, I really mean rarelylynne -- have put together a list of links for where you can purchase a copy in the US and the UK.

Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.ca will have it available--they are just weird and don't list it as such until the day it premieres. Any brick and mortar store (independent or big-box) can also easily order the book through Mad Norwegian's distributor.

Visit our Facebook page for full details on upcoming Chicks events in NYC and Madison, WI: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/ChicksDigTimeLords?ref=ts

Speaking of events, how’s this one for you? Several of the NYC-based contributors (including myself) are getting together Friday night for a reading, discussion, book signage, and general Doctor Who celebration. Please come see us if you’re in the City.

No, REALLY.

PLEASE COME SEE US.

I finally finished reading the book a little while ago (my head’s in the clouds for other reasons and all), and really, rarelylynne and taraoshea have put together a fantastic book. I’m not just saying it because there’s a certain comic smack bang in the middle of the book, nor that I drew the cover. Those are just bonuses. =^^=

No, no. There are essays ranging from personal experiences of what the show means to them to about conventions to about fanzines to interviews about playing a Companion to hard critical discussions and analysis. There are happy funtimes essays. There are essays that you completely disagree with (and I do!) because, let’s be perfectly honest here, not everyone in this fandom agrees with each other, which is PERFECTLY FINE. But it’s a collection of so many different views on things that THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE, which was the focus that the editors were aiming for.

*steps off soap box*

So yes! Buy it! Make me (and I suppose all the other contributors) happy. I drew stuff. It’s in a book. WTF.

On a completely random note, this post is my 1000th post. GIF PARTY. (Only took me almost seven years, SHEESH)
