I had told kalleah I'd take part in her "Post One Photo a Week" meme, but so far, I'm failing miserably. Mostly because there are only so many pictures of my room I can take. And that'd involve cleaning it ( Read more... )

To be fair to the TSA, we just watched an episode of Burn Notice where a snow globe was used as a weapon. ;-)

Oh, I absolutely understand why no snow globes are allowed in carry-ons. I just love that they felt the need to make very fancy signs.

Oh, I totally get why it's restricted. I was just amused by the amount of signs throughout the airport.

My mom is going to be SO PISSED. She collects snow globes and she hates checking bags. I just sent this pic to her.

Not funny! You've never had to deal with my mother having one confiscated. It's A NIGHTMARE!!!

I had a snow globe confiscated once. It was a tiny Darth Vader snowglobe I bought for a friend, and I didn't pack in my checked luggage because I was afraid it would break. They made me throw it out. Of course, I didn't see a sign like this at the time....

See? It can't be just a holiday thing! Snow globe warnings need to be up AT ALL TIMES.

Also, I am terribly amused by a tiny Darth Vader snow globe. I have a teeny Jack Skellington one I got a billion years ago (back when Nightmare Before Christmas hadn't become the staple at Hot Topic).

And this was a number of years ago too! Crazy.

I think I got the snow globe at a Star Wars exhibit in LA. I was very sad to have to throw it out. I didn't think about it because it was so small it was under the liquid restriction amount and I didn't know there was a blanket snow globe restriction.

Awww, that sucks. Maybe because since there's no way to open a snow globe without breaking the glass, it's not allowed?
