you also then get the parallel to Children of Earth, if it's Susan-- both the Doctor and Jack have sacrificed their grandchildren to save Earth. Also, when Wilf asks who the Time Lady was, there's a shot of Donna (i.e., Wilf's granddaughter) instead of an answer.
