My answers to dark_aegis’s questions from the Resistance is Futile meme (I’m not going to pose questions to anyone, just answer the ones I need to)
1) Of everything you've drawn (besides Babiez), what's your favourite piece?
I’m pretty pleased with El Tango de Romana, closely followed by Caught in the Act. I’d like to continue a series of dancing drawings done in the same lineless art style. And I’m quite proud of the way the background and atmosphere turned out in Caught in the Act, since I am awful and I hate drawing backgrounds.
2) What surprises you the most about this fandom?
The downright cruelness I see of people attacking others just because of something they like or dislike. I hope those who don’t like Moffat will just leave and let the ones who would like to enjoy the show do so. It’s not going to happen. They’re going to sit there and tear every second apart and point fingers and childishly say “I TOLD YOU SO.” The whole Rose vs. Martha thing was awful and disgusting, and still is, to some degree. I feel odd being stuck in the middle for, dare I say it, liking both (GASP, WHAT A CONCEPT) while I see both sides bickering that one is better than the other. Newsflash, NEITHER ONE IS.
And the anon meme needs to die in a fire. I don’t care if there are occasionally good things, it’s an awful place, it has hurt too many people on my flist and it needs to go. If you participate, I judge harshly.
3) If you could have one character from any other television series or movie show up on Doctor Who, who would it be?
Oh god, I have too many crossover ideas. I already drew a comic of Jack Sparrow meeting Jack Harkness. Oh yes.
As far as folks I’d like to see end up in the TARDIS, Daniel Faraday from Lost, Ed from Cowboy Bebop (COULDN’T YOU JUST IMAGINE HER AND TEN?), Mulder and Scully from X-Files. I started writing a Dead Like Me/Doctor Who crossover in my head with Mason turning up. A Reaper in the DW universe could be interesting.
4) What's your favourite X-Files episode?
Hands down, Bad Blood. It’s just so brilliant. I love Mulder and Scully’s renditions of the story and painting this hilarious caricature of the other. Plus, it has Luke Wilson, who was unknown at the time! I’d also throw in Paper Hearts, Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose, Quagmire, and Arcadia (Mulder and Scully posing as a married couple = YES).
5) If you had the chance to meet only one Doctor Who character (or actor), who would it be?
As far as meeting a character, DUR. I’d like to meet the Doctor. As far as what incarnation, I don’t know… Fifth? Ninth? Tenth? All at once? They’re all the same person. IT COULD WORK.
I suppose I should... I dunno, EAT or something.
