Wow.
Words cannot express the amount of fail that was Transformers 2. It’s my own fault, I know, for seeing it. I had heard how bad it was, but I always have to judge things for myself. But this time, maybe I should have just gone with the reviews. The race fail… wow.
How in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM were the Twins not considered offensive? How the hell did they get approved? They were incredibly awful caricatures. Ebonics-speaking robots with big ears who can’t read? AND ONE HAD A GOLD TOOTH?! I felt so dirty after watching that movie. I felt like I was watching one of those banned cartoons from the 40s.
On the plus side, that movie was hilarious, in that way that “WE’RE TAKING OURSELVES FAR TOO SERIOUSLY” is hilarious. I was laughing the whole time, though most of it was just to cover my embarrassment of watching.
The only "great" part about that movie was when Sam’s mom got high.
I know it’s a bit much to ask for something more… substantial for a summer blockbuster, but… sigh.
At least I got to see giant robots fight and stuff blow up.
