GO TEAM VENTURE!
I bought boots! Before anyone asks, I totally did not spend that much on them. I spent last winter looking for a nice pair and it was so hard to find something with a low heel, no pointy toe and that didn’t look like riding boots.
I didn’t go into work on Friday due to massive abdominal pains (without getting into TOO much details… hur), so I spent the better part of that day slumming around and catching up on shows. I finally watched the first couple of episodes of the Sarah Jane Adventures. Honestly, how gorgeous is Elisabeth Sladen? I want a giant DW/TW/SJA crossover now, please.
I also got caught up on the Venture Bros. at jisuk’s insistence, and it became one of those situations where I was kicking myself for not watching this show before. CRACKS me up. I loved how last weekend, basalt and I were watching Season 1, and Dean made a very distinctive Mikey noise and I was like “WAIT A MINUTE…” I knew in the back of my head he did a voice on Venture Bros., but it sort of slipped away. Whatev.
I will say, that this line yesterday MAY have made my weekend:
Henchman 21: Who's your date?
The Monarch: I met her on the LiveJournal, which I kept in prison. I have been blogging! After posting an especially attractive picture of my prison-sculpted abs, she commented that I was not only "Pwn", I was "Teh Sex"... whatever that means.
The best part was that I put on the subtitles to see how they spelled “teh” and they were SO ridiculously wrong. I think “pwn” or whatever the Monarch says (I don’t think that’s right either), the subtitles said “lean” and “teh sex” was “to have sex”. FAIL.
Next up: Bergz, you BETTER be done with S3 of The Office by the end of this weekend. I don’t know how much longer I can last without Dwangela!
And on a closing note, I need to send this picture back home.
FYI: The brother of my best friend growing up is the drummer. I have fond memories of Jimmy hanging up the phone on me after I asked if Katie was home and I could hear her in the backgrounds asking if the phone was her.
