(no subject)
life in the tent is all well; with the two sleeping bags, a feather comforter, and a dog, all is well. -20 and no major problems. I might not die after all, but i thought i was when the down got damp from condensation. Dry blankets are very inportant apparently.
Almost got the wood situation all figured out so i won't always be scrounging. need more free time for playing and trapping. I want food and warm things to wear.
I'm starting to hate my car now too. This week alone, the automatic seatbelt stopped working, the oil keeps leaking (fast), the taillights shorted out and stopped working, I had to buy two new tires becase of flats (at the same time), and now i finally found out where the weird clunking noise is coming from. the torsion bar on the drivers side is coming loose, so the wheel is moving about and inch back and forth when it most definately shouldn't.
So now it's cold out and i don't want to lay out in the snow and hold onto a cold wrench when i can just as easily wait a coulpe days and get into someone's garage or just park the damn thing until summer. I want another vehicle. I want four wheel drive, and i want a big truck, but i like good mileage. so many hard decisions.
Looking at cabin designs too. Talked to heidi's dad, and he gave me all kinds of tips. Thinking about 20x24 with a 3/4 loft. Very large cabin, but i'm going to live there for a while, and my crap seems to expand to fit however much room i have. I want a big door for sure, so i can fit motorcycles and four wheelers and snowmachines inside to fix and play with. and a kitchen. with lots of room for food and beer.
