so the wolf creek fire is burning down chena hot springs road, and it was right around the hot springs itself last night. I'm not getting too worked up, because that gives us like 35 or 40 miles of padding to burn before we're in trouble. Thye fire that got the chatanika lodge ran 30 miles yesterday, but that was with real strong winds, which aren't happening here right now. I heard we're supposed to get rain early next week, so we might be all right. If not, worrying won't help one damn bit, only planning ahead will. I don't really have much stuff here, and we could get dogs and stuff loaded up in like a half hour maybe. 25 dogs, but that should be doable. And I can cut all the srpuce trees around the cabin down so maybe the fire won't get it.
Jodi's friend Aliy has like 75 dogs out by heidi, and she says she can be out in 45 minutes, but then again, I don't know what I'm doing.
Jodi want's to go camping out of the parks highway towards nenana, so we might just end up doing that. it sounds like it could be fun, minus the place we live burning to the ground, but hey, it's rented, and all it is is stuff. There are worse things happening to other people right now.
I have to go to work, both jobs, so i'll be gone until 9 in the morning. Hope i can get some sleep when i get back.
