The ARG portion of Perplex City season 2 is "suspended indefinitely". Something about the entire writing staff leaving all at once. Judging by what I've read on varous forums, Mind Candy was hanging onto the player base by the slimmest of threads after various screw-ups with the website and the interval between seasons, and I suspect this announcement will drive a lot of folks away for good. As for me - I was looking forward to being part of the story from the beginning, but my interest was waning with nothing new to do, and I can't honestly say I'll go back if and when it restarts. It's a shame; season one was incredible, but they dropped the ball
Also mostly cancelled is the GameCube version of Radio Allergy, a cel shaded shooter originally released for the never-quite-defunct Dreamcast. The rumor is that it might make it into a compilation eventually. I could still import a Japanese copy fot the PS2, but $60 plus shipping is a bit more than I think it's worth to me.
I suspect that the DVD release of Hundred Beast King GoLion, the uncut Japanese version of Voltron, will never actually come out in the US. I haven't bought the American version DVDs specifically because I'd prefer the Japanese version. I'd rather have the American release than none at all, though. I doubt I could get an answer to a question like "Are you ever releasing the good version, or should I just buy what's out now?" even if I did have a contact at World Events Productions.
