Friday night the group tried the
Perplex City bard game. As expected, it played much like Trivial Pursuit. We were split on how good it was, though there were more positive repsonses. Maybe a tad easy, and there's quite a few questions that are basically unanswerable if you didn't grow up in the UK.
(If nothing else, I was surprised that no one seemed to know the answer to one of the sample questions on the back of the box: What is the next letter in the sequence Z O T T F F S S E ?.)
Saturday I assembled our new media shelf. It was fairly easy and light, at least compared to our entertainment center. Now the video games and movies are on it and sorted (a bit awkwardly in some places, due to Disney VHS being tall), and sometime soon
qarylla and I will be getting all our CDs back in their correct packaging and adding them. Does anyone want our old ones? They are mostly in good condition (one is a bit slanty), but we have no room for them. Two are about 3-4' wide and have 4 shelves, and one is about 18" wide and has 5 (I think; comment if you need exact dimensions).
I also got the microSD card for my MP3 player (and am filling it this week). "Micro" is right! I didn't intend to get one so soon, but found a company selling white DVD cases, and I wanted one for Wii Sports. However, I was not willing to pay $7 for shipping just for three empty boxes, so I checked and they had very on sale memory cards, and voila!
Sunday qarylla and I discovered another yarn spaghetti monster, and spent most of the morning untangling it. We went to the mall, where we got a digital food scale and a bizarre amount of ice cream. Then I came home and watched the Saints and Patriots suck while entering my video game collection into Gamespot.
I didn't sleep nearly enough last night. I have no idea if that was eating too late, the aforementioned football, not wanting to go back to work, or some of all those and a few other things. I would get to bed early tonight, but I don't want to miss "Heroes". I should probably tape it in case my body disagrees.
