Saw this guy I used to ride the bus with, also named James, at the drive-thru around 6am this morning. He's a dog-sled racer, and I missed him.. lost his phone number. He had his favorite dog, Nanook, with him, so I finally got to see her in real life (he always had pictures of her, lol, especially when he dressed her up in scrubs for Halloween... what a weirdo).
And Ms. Giesbrecht, from my junior high, who apparently gets breakfast and coffee at McDonald's every morning. She was my health teacher. That just cuts me up. Never thought I'd see her again... she used to let me look at her college medical texts, and they had some pretty cool photos of them. My favorite was always one of a bisected cadaver... don't know why. But then, I used to want to be a doctor, too.
So life is good. Enjoying the job, liking the compliments I get from the nice people "Now THAT'S service","Thank you for the wonderful smile", hahaha, and absolutely loving the stories about bitchy customers.
Still not up-to-speed with everybody else, but I'm learning and I'll get there someday. And I'm already trying to figure out how this job can help me to realize a dream or two. Surprisingly... yeah, there's one in particular that this job will be my ace in the hole to achieving. Life is good.
