Beware, this post might be long.

First, the good news:  Alfred has arrived!  After five days of labor, he finally gave birth to a generously-sized off-spring whom I have christianed as Alfred.  He is doing much better and is continuing to recover.  Thanks for all your concern.

Confession:  I was reading a post from Pommy's lj, and he brings up ( Read more... )

Friends are really quite overrated...I have tonnes of them, yet I very much doubt any of them could be defined as "true" friends maybe one or two, well, my girlfriend probably, but the point being, friends come and go, oranges are forever.

I think its really hard to reconcile the "all-loving God" with the "God of justice". Somewhere in Elijah, he decrees "I make peace and create calamity", he forms the light and creates darkness, sometimes the Christian dogma seems to almost be intruding into a more pantheistic view of the world. But I don't know...

Far be it for me to doubt our loving creator, but it doesn't seem that easy to make the choice to follow jesus and accept his love. To me, I am struggling through the problems, but according to revelation, those who cannot find this jesus character burn for eternity. A laboured point - but one that, I struggle with constantly. We are all bastards, i know this, and I don't doubt that every human has committed acts that merits the withdrawal of the gift of life, but it all just seems so unjust...unmerciful.

I fear I have began to ramble. Apologies. Congratulations...on your...new offspring (we are talking kidney stones or something here aren't we).

Oranges have been a frequent topic with you of late. No apologies for rambling. Feel free to do so at anytime. You're saying it better than I can at the moment.

And yes, Alfred is a kidney stone. It seems like he has a slow twin that is yet to arrive, though. I'm sure we'll soon find out.
