Background:
Ji Cheol wasn't born into wealth. His family had a modest home in the suburbs of Seoul, with his mother running a restaurant and his dad in freelance consultancy. Being the laid-back, happy-go-lucky boy that he was, he was thankful to have an older sister to take on the "responsible" role in the family. But when his dad passed away and his mom lost her passion, he was forced to step in and help in keeping what was left of their family intact.
He took multiple jobs while still in school to be able to assist his mother. They ended up selling their house eventually to add to their savings, moving into a much smaller one. The house they moved into was much better - just enough for him and his mom when he was home, but not too big that she would feel alone whenever he was away.
He enlisted for military service earlier than most of his buds. When they made the decision to make the most of their lives before the deadline forced them to finally enlist, Ji Cheol made the decision to become a man. After his military service, he jumped right back into school taking up courses that would assist him in his goal of getting his MBA. Everything that he's done since his dad died had been for his mom. All his former dreams of excelling in the arts were set aside, manifesting only in his penchant for photography and his secret adoration for theater.
Recently, with his mom's restaurant up and running again, a few investments under his belt, and a new place all to himself, Ji Cheol was finally ready to go back to school.
Personality:
Much like the nickname Gong Yoo given to him by his niece, Ji Cheol isn't easy to decipher. He exudes the mysterious aura every guy presumed to be a "bad boy" has, but he's no rebel.
He's very caring and has a very loving nature. He can be funny when he wants to be and serious when the need calls for it.
He's the ideal hyung/oppa with more than a few quirks to make some people think otherwise.
