Who is Chinese? Who is Japanese and who is Korean? I think there is a difference in hair styles, face features and clothes. I've picked out 15 pictures of Asian male idols. See if you know who they are or where they're from. HERE.
Asian idols
1. Kamenashi Kazuya (亀梨和也), member in KAT-TUN. Japanese entertainer, actor, singer, model, DJ and TV-show host. He's a typical Johnnies boy, looks like a shoujo manga bishounen. Kame could be a bit girlish, but he is still manly even though he's pretty... ♥
2. Choi Si Won (최시원 - 始源), member in Super Junior M. Korean actor, singer and model. I think he knows a bit mandarin and he has been in a Taiwanese drama (not that it mattered, he was dubbed anyway....) Devoted Christian, popular for his good looks and his abs.
I'm not sure what it is (the "square" face, or his chin), but the first drama I watched him in was a Taiwanese drama and my first thought was that he looks like a Korean idol; the next thought was... do all Asian idols looks similar to each other nowadays? Then I googled him and found out he is indeed Korean, hehe... ^_^
3. Miura Haruma (三浦春馬), Japanese actor and model. He too is very manga-ish. I wonder why.... ^^;
4. Raymond Lam. Hong Kong Chinese actor and singer. He is almost always the good guy when doing a leading role. He's a popular and sympathatic celebrity in Hong Kong. Short hair is kind of typical for HK stars...? And darker skin?
5. Yamashita Tomohisa, former member of NEWS. Japanese actor, singer and model. He might not be the best actor, but I really love his dramas, especially Buzzer Beat. He's a Johnnies too, they all look the same sometimes; hair, style, clothes, ways to act and speak... not to mention people's first impression: Is that a girl? T_T
6. Lu Yi (陆毅). Mainland Chinese actor and singer. Best Bao Zheng ever, when he played in Young Justice Bao II.
7. Lee Dong Hae (이동해), member of Super Junior M. Korean actor and singer. Also Christian (seems like many of the Super Juniors are Christians. ^^)
8. Vanness Wu (吳建豪), member of F4 (which later was renamed JVKV). Taiwan Chinese actor, singer. He was born in California and grew up there, so he speaks English fluently. Later he moved to Taiwan and started his entertainment career. He's Christian.
9. Hayami Mokomichi (速水もこみち). Japanese actor and model. Well, he kind of looks like a Johnny boy... ^^; I think he's really tall for a Japanese male. ^^;
10. Jang Dong Gun (장동건). Korean actor, musician and singer.
11. Vic Chou (周渝民), also a member of F4 (JVKV). Taiwan Chinese actor, singer and model. He looks like a young version of Tony Leung, just more handsome.
12. Jay Chou (周杰倫). Taiwan Chinese actor, singer and musician. He may not be an eye candy (well for some he is), but he writes his own songs and has won several Music Awards. He also starred as the lead in Initial D, with actors from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan. Actually, I think he looks Japanese. ^_^
13. Lee Sung Min (성민 - 晟敏), member of Super Junior M. Korean actor, DJ and singer. I don't know much about him, only recognizing his name since I've seen it many times on my friendlist. Typical Korean idol looks. XD
14. Akanishi Jin (赤西仁), former member of KAT-TUN. Japanese singer and actor. He's recently married with Kuroki Meisa and trying to get into the American music market. Nowaday his style is more Hip hop-ish with T-shirts, hoodies and sacky jeans.
15. Alec Su (蘇有朋). Taiwan Chinese actor, song-writer and singer.
