It's GREEN! And Godchild.

Yesterday we had a little party for our friends who got engaged. We decided to have a green theme party. XD

Itadakimasu!

Everybody should at least have one green cloth. I'm surprised people had such problem to find green clothes in their wardrobe. I mean, I'm totally fine with green, I have no problem at all.

The cutest outfits were by the two babies. Soo cute. XD (Sorry, you can't see that too well in the pictures). The one looking weirdly into the camera is the one getting engaged. Her fiancé didn't manage to get into picture, but you can see his stomach - he's sitting next to her.

My outfit (I wore another tank top though, a dark green one).

Nails.

And here's the food! Sorry about the sucky pic. T_T

Tamago nigiri and ginger. These were the best. ^_______^

Something looks very weird with this cake. Could it be the alligator candy...? O.o

~*~*~*~

I stayed up late yesterday night and the night before to read Godchild. I started to read it back then when they published the manga in the Swedish magazine Shojo stars, but couldn't finish it because they replaced it with another manga. At that time I had lost interest too, because I thought it was such a weird and creepy story. Indeed twisty. But since I started to take interest in Gothic Lolita I started to read the manga again and then I bought all the volumes.

It is a weird story and I'm not sure I'm satisfied with the ending, and sometimes I have to go back and read because I can't keep up with what the mangaka means, but I don't regret reading it though. It's a intriguing story. The names of many characters are referring to the Bible, I guess the mangaka is trying to use it as a reference to the character's faith and way to be, but I only get annoyed, she got it wrong so many times. Furthermore, I think the manga is really dark, so I definitely won't recommend it to children. I can't understand why they don't have warnings for comic books (in Sweden people still think that as long as it's comic, it's for kids), because they certainly are finicky with movies and TV and things like those... T_T

Anyway, read it if you like stories with mystery, horror, suspense, historical environments. The art is great. I wish I could draw like that. But the stories never (almost never) ends happily. You get the feeling you read a fairytale that suddenly turns totally out of control. ^^;

Lord Cain and his little sister Marie Weather (as she is called in the Swedish version).
