supposedly i should be transferring to the lakeland store by the end of the month.
i just can't take them blowing smoke up my ass and trying to stall me out so long. my manager called me a few weeks ago all excited telling me that there was a store manager position open in zephyrhills. i come in on my day off and sit down with him and my district manager. my DM told me that it was already in the bag and that i'd be going to ocala on friday to do a sort of "meet n' greet". i leave work early a couple days later to go to ocala to do my little interview and it's nothing like he told me. the human resources lady and the head of customer service were asking me three part essay style questions that i had to handle right off the top of my head. this was nothing like i was told it was going to be. well, obviously i got the bad news call a week later that i didn't get the job that was "in the bag". all that after trying to get a store transfer in order for almost four months and being jerked around and stalled out.
on one hand it sucks leaving shayna and the couple of friends i have here, but i just can't afford to live here and try to pay off my debt. gotta cut my losses and go home and try to get back on my feet.
the store i'd be working at is pretty laid back which should help me quite a bit on the whole getting burned out thing. basically i'll be making the same money and doing less work while living cheaper. sounds to me like a win-win-win situation.
