So far, I love it. Although I've noticed that a lot of the street corners on campus don't have street signs, or it's only on one side, and that really confuses those of us without any sense of direction. >.> Fun city, though, and I'm excited about classes. You?
I love it too. It's a little confusing to get around, but if you can nab a map and get to know a few places really well it feels better, methinks. I love being here and hanging out and all that jazz. It's been really really fun so far!
I've been on, like, four tours, and I still don't know my way around. I figure I'll grab a map and spend some time getting lost tomorrow, though, and hopefully I'll figure it out that way. And I lovelovelove State Street, because it feels just like home-- it's like a mini-Minneapolis.
Yeah, I was thinking of going around and spending labor day figuring out where the heck I'm going. State Street is AMAZING! I walked all the way up and down it today to get to Taste of Madison and it was so much fun!
It seems like a good day, because there aren't as many freshman-y "go meet people or you'll look antisocial" events going on. -- Isn't it? I'm in love with the Fair Trade coffee shop. They sell loose tea and have really good chai. And there's a feminist bookstore and cafe thing I want to check out at some point.
That's awesome, I haven't been there yet--I went to the Steep N Brew today and their tea was amazing too! Go to Avol's bookstore, they hae really great stuff.
Oooh, the Steep N Brew is great, too. And it's nice to sit in there and read. I'll have to check that bookstore out once I actually start working and have money to spend.
