wheeeeeeeee tahoe!
wow...just spent the last week in lake tahoe....effing amaaaaazing. never mind the 6 hour car ride there and back
first stop was squaw valley, where i went the first time i went to tahoe. Not as good as I remembered, but still awesome. Super powdery at the top, a little icy at the bottom, but otherwise excellent conditions. There was a huge blizzard from friday to sunday, so we didn't go out those nights. Monday we went to northstar....it was pretty fluffy out, but it was really really crowded. The trails were very short and the lift lines were extremely long. Tuesday we spent snowmobiling, and Wednesday we spent at Kirkwood. It was lightly snowing at Kirkwood, but there was no wind and it was below freezing the entire day, so it was nice dry snow. Powder everywhere! almost every run was a blue or black, and very short lines, so it was a great day too. It'd still stack Squaw as my favorite, followed by Kirkwood. gotta check out the other places some time!
