I don't think I wrote about it before but about a month ago while I was at home Bruno slid off the couch and started having what I thought was a seizure. I called the vet and they confirmed. His eyes are going side to side quickly, dilated pupils, pacing in circles. The only thing unusual was that he was conscious and he was listening to me when I called his name, came over to him, etc. He went to the vet and had all sorts of blood work done. The doctor confirmed it was a form of epilepsy and just to watch it for now because the meds had bad side effects. He hadn't had any episodes since then. But then he started shaking his head and crying once a while. 2 times so bad he was shaking. Even though his ears were spotless! I clean them once a week right now. UGH. So Bill took him to the vet and he has a middle ear infection. They had to sedate him to look in his ear to his eardrum. He is now on antibiotic eardrops and also pills. The vet said that is the reason for the seizure like episode and that he thought it may have been the reason the whole time but yet didn't test for it!!!! So $600 later, panic attacks and being sedated for 24 hours, he has a bad ear infection. Oh I also forgot to mention they have him a rabies shot when he didn't need one. Bah. I'm annoyed. But at the same time I don't want to have to switch vets.
