Thinking about Things

May 01, 2009 12:17

Thinking about things rather than just taking action is my worst habit. Thinking about things doesn't solve anything, but then they do say that writing through problems is often helpful. Not to tempt fate, but none of my problems are big at the moment. Let's see:
  • 5,000 word essay on Tagore
  • 4, 000 word essay on romantic love in 3 Anglo-Indian novels
  • Exam revision
They are the three tasks, not problems, that need completing - starting, addressing. I have started to address these tasks, but I am not making any further progress. I am sat thinking about them here, worrying, not doing.

There are some prevailing anxieties that I carry with me and which have been influenced by the recent past that I would like to overcome:
  • Low confidence and self-esteem.
So, the only way to sort the immediate problem of the tasks is to do them. The other stuff is an ongoing project.
I chose the name for this blog based on a Bengali word relating to storms and heavy winds, but it resembles a Tamil name of oa famous actress. Oh well, I am probably well off the mark!
