Is it really summer?
Because to me, it does not feel like it. All I do is work. All the time. Yeah, the pay is good, and whatever. But I'm getting really annoyed with Spring Valley. They work my ass off, I work almost every day, and I am NOT a fan. It doesn't suck when Sara's there too bad. But like I've said, I am really getting sick of the restaurant work. And I'm acctually considering quitting and spending my whole summer at the Cape...I need to get away from the Canton petty drama that goes on.
I spent my first weekend at the Cape, which was my first weekend off of work in, well, EVER! And I chose not to start at The Cow (The only restaurant worth working at) until next weekend, because I need a break. All in all, the Cape wasn't that bad. Went to the Flee Market, hung out with the sunglass man, who remembered me. Went to the Xmas Tree Shop, whatever, visited Jeffrey at Sea Street lifeguarding. Started a new book (The State Boy's Rebellion, read it). And last night I acctually WENT OUT...weird huh? Jeffrey took me to a lifeguard party, and it was really cool. They weren't the usualy drunken idiots I'm used to hanging around with, yeah they were drunk, but they were all cool drunks. Well, Jay the wrestler from BL (I knew him!) was a little crazy, but he was just laughing a lot, so it was cute. And he was 5'3", so it was even cuter. I like these kids, and I love hanging out with my brother, and I miss him when he's not around. ...So there might be a solution...
...I might get a job being a gate guard down the Cape. I'm friends with the girl who does the schedualing, so I might be key. It's $8.50 an hour, like, 42 hours a week, that's like, over $300 a week, plus the Cow still too. And honestly, this is what I'd be doing. Sitting. In a chair. Looking at cars to see if they have beach stickers, and if not, get $15 from them. Oh, and I'd be reading. Best. Job. Ever. AND shifts end no later then 4! 8-4 or something. I like those hours. Hopefully Anne and Jeffrey can hook me up. And my ladies could still visit me down the Cape, on my days off and such, and they could come to sick lifeguard/gateguard parties. Jimmy you can come too, in fact, I'd make you. I really want this job...
...but honestly, if this doesn't work out...I might just say peace to SVCC, and work at the Cow all summer...I'd probably make more money. $7/hr plus tips...we'll see. It is very tempting.
