Today, the internet taught me that I'm not a feminist. I'm a violent, ugly shitbag.

Close.

These people have never heard of compassion fatigue, let's put it that way.

Holding certain tenets of social justice to literal truth renders them absurd. Which is my primary issue with the entire exercise: if a position succeeds solely on emotional appeal, it's not a strong or long-term persuasive argument. Their position is a noble, morally upright one, but it's poorly constructed and not tenable the way they've crafted it.

Also: they're doin' it wrong.

(lolol, it's me; still anon, what is this.)

Just. A fly on the wall as people spew invective at each other: I privately fit their public definitions, which is interesting to me.

If you don't care [about total strangers and their horrific misfortunes] you are not a feminist; you are an ugly, violent shitbag.

At first, I was offended. Then I realized that I still didn't care --> by that logic, the definition is true.

Purely without value judgment, I find that reasoning fascinating.

(Hurrrr, what is logging in at the library, how is that done.)
