These people have never heard of compassion fatigue, let's put it that way.
Holding certain tenets of social justice to literal truth renders them absurd. Which is my primary issue with the entire exercise: if a position succeeds solely on emotional appeal, it's not a strong or long-term persuasive argument. Their position is a noble, morally upright one, but it's poorly constructed and not tenable the way they've crafted it.

At first, I was offended. Then I realized that I still didn't care --> by that logic, the definition is true.
Purely without value judgment, I find that reasoning fascinating.
