Was Ist? (Baka Bakashi)

Unless I have it wrong, those say roughly the same thing: the fuck, Jheti?

I'm going through my papers frantically because I know I've already done an independent study that's relevant to this one, because it examines computer-mediated communication.

And I can't find it anywhere, because it's backed up on my stupid media stickdrive USB thing that got Internet AIDS from the university library back in like, APRIL, and I can't remember where I fucking put it because AAAARRRRR and not the happy piratical Jolly Roger aaarrrr, no this is the I'm going to disembowel a kitten if you don't cooperate; please, think of the kittens aaaaaarrrrrrr of PURE FRUSTRATION.

I do, however, have my old notes from the project.

And while they no longer contain the sources, because who the hell puts their references on their personal notes?

They are an intriguing example of the way in which, usually, even I can't remember what I was talking about in the hours winding up to a research bullshit jag.

No, I'm serious, there's offensive material back here. Don't read or don't whine later.

Cut and pasted from my personal computer, without editing of any kind.

The participants could also pm each other, and we can’t intercept those to know what else they might have been talking about. It might be “that postings containing disadvantages” were baleeted by mods, but this is hella unlikely because they downloaded new postings every single day and it usually takes a wankfest a few hours to Hiroshima, especially if the mods are out to lunch or something when it happens and then bam, there’s four hundred and eleventy comments in their inbox about racism and other stuff that they don’t care about and then have to clean up.

All judgments were made on the basis of analyzing the content of the postings. Not all aspects of a group can be studied by means of a content analysis. We do not know which outcomes are experienced by the target group as a result of participation.

In our opinion, aspects of online support groups such as outcomes should be studied by obtaining informatio from group participants directly.

Also, it’s not teh AIDS, newfags, and it’s all because they’re women with woman vaginas, doubtless in a group with man penises they’d have to shut their whore mouths when men are talking.

Giant Ass Meta-Analyisis of Similar Crap that I Don’t Want To Summarize

28 studies broken down to their relevant data for your perusal, further broken down by me
“Group interventions provide an outlet for social comparisons” “In recent years, development of Internets based CMSG (compumediated support group for newfags). This study only analyzes private ones run by professionals, fuckers, so there’s some lab control on that shit. Okay then.

Uses CHESS: Comprehensive Health Enhancement Support System, makes it possible to provide group members with access to meidical information, decision support, skills training, and an asynchronous discussion forum.
Distinct from Yahoo and Webmed bc

IT’S NOT LUPUS NEWFAG. (NOTE: This was underlined. In red. And circled. With arrows. By that time I had been awake for twenty-one hours.)

“both educational and group comm components, closed membership enrollment, fixed duration, and may include some form of expert leadership”.

Group comm is integral to: interacting with others who are suffering, “information, emotional, and esteem support”. Buffer individuals’ experience of stressful events. Manage health related uncertainty. Foster positive health outcomes.

Impact on perceptions of social support, depression, quality of life, and self-efficacy to manage one’s health condition.

Goal numero dos: evaluate group characteristics that may make CMSG more or less effective: group size, comm channels, contact frequency, and time as moderators of the possible health benefits fo CMSG.

I wish I could remember what the shit I was talking about.

back off man i'm a scientist, communications bbqz!
