I saw that a couple of days ago and was promptly shocked for a few minutes. (I'm currently even reading a Crichton book for the first time in a long time.) Then after the shock wore off, my next thought was that they'll probably make yet another season of E.R. to commemorate him. (We see previews for that show all the time while watching The Office, and it's always like "final season! final season!" and we're like, isn't this their fourth "final season"?)

Yeah. Everything he's done, and people remember that show. *Cringe.*
...It's things like these that make me wonder what Tchaikovsky would think of the cultural annual obssession with The Nutcracker Suite. And similar.
We don't get to pick what we're remembered for, I guess.
