Sick, part 2.
So B is still sick. He hasn't had a fever since Wednesday afternoon, so that's good. And I'm pretty sure the antibiotics are taking care of the ear infection since he seems happy.
But he still has a cough. I'm undecided if I think it's getting worse, but Mat thinks it is. So I called his doctor tonight and I'm bringing him in tomorrow morning at 10. He keeps waking himself up from naps by coughing, and now he's asleep for the night coughing ever few minutes.
Of course now I'm paranoid that this cough is turning into pneumonia. I know that's a bit of a leap, but still. I just keep telling myself that he doesn't cough so much during the day, it's mostly while he's laying down for a nap or sleep. Mat is at the gym but when he gets home I want to incline B's mattress and see if that helps.
I feel like I might be in for a night of sleeping in the recliner and holding Benjamin. That's how much he's coughing right now. Even last night was not this bad. I feel so bad for him.
And to top it all off, he cut his ear today. I was feeding him and he plays with his ears occasionally. So all of a sudden I notice blood on his fingers. Just a tiny little cut from his fingernails but it bled for over an hour. I couldn't get it to stop. I called the doctor (for like the third time tonight) and he said if it didn't stop in 20 more minutes to bring him to the emergency room. So glad it didn't come to that.
