The summer sun shone brightly and all of them decided to take a short vacation to Mokpo and enjoy the sights and sounds of the summertime. They drove to the place and of course Yesung was the driver but this time they borrowed Mr. Kim’s van since they were too many to fit into the Mercedes Benz. The drive was peaceful and Yesung took all effort not to get distracted by the beauty on the passenger seat.
They arrived not long after and a couple greeted them. Leeteuk introduced them as Donghae and Eunja and they just got married last year. Yesung noticed that Eunja has a protruding tummy, Eunja answered his questioning looks.
“I’m 8 months into pregnancy. Don’t worry we already graduated from college before we got married.”
YEsung smiled after seeing her precious gummy smile and was a bit jealous seeing DOnghae so sweet and caring for hi dear wife, he wish he could marry Ryeowook as well.. but they both know he can’t.. he just can’t.
The sun is up and everyone runs to the beach to soak the rays and play with the clear waters, yet Eunja and Ryeowook stayed to prepare lunch for them. She was really good at cooking and Eunaj was utterly impressed with her skills, but she is really moody.
“Ryeowook-sshi.. the food is delicious, you don’t need to worry.. this is the best bibimbap and ddokboki I’ve ever tasted.”
Eunja muttered as she tasted both and smiled at her but Ryeowook was irritable.
“No.. it has to be perfect..”
Eunja took the ladle from Ryeowook when Yesung entered to check up on her. Upon seeing him, Ryeowook stormed out of the kitchen.
“What happened?”
Yesung asked and Eunja quickly shook her shoulders.
“if I knew better those mood swings would definitely be from her hormonal imbalance..”
Yesung’s brow furrowed and Eunja smiled at him.
“PMS.. you know every month..”
Yesung finally understood and smiled back then check up on Ryeowook. He found him on her rroom cuddling a pillow and eating chocolates like there is no tomorrow. Yesung sat beside her and handed a box of milk.
“if you continue eating those you’ll grow like a hippo..”
Yesung said and Ryeowook went mad she pushed him off the bed.
“I’m joking ryeowook.. you don’t have to be so mean..”
Ryeowook then helped him up and gave him a kiss.
“It’s just that.. I want to a lot of stuff..”
“maybe PMS?”
Ryeowook nodded and smiled, maybe it’s her period.. but the problem is, she hadn’t had her period for the last three months.

Back to Incheon after the short trip, Ryeowook felt uneasy and weak all at the same time. It’s as if every day, all her energy is drained out by a force she have no idea what. On their fourth monthsary, or the fourth month since that faithful day, Ryeowook collapsed while having their dinner and she was rushed to the hospital.
Yesung hasn’t expected such fast turn of events though he knew it’ll happen soon. He paced outside the emergency room when the rest found him. He was disoriented he was concerned, he was anxious, he was afraid, he was nervous, he was chaotic.. he had never felt such fear of losing someone so important, he thinks he won’t be able to survive without her.
“Yesung.. Ryeowook?”
Siwon asked but all Yesung can do is just point to the emergency room, speechless. At the same time, the doctor went out to announce that her condition is stable and she is now in ICU, however there is one concern they needed to address, and her pregnancy. Their mouths hang open as the doctor announces such important news.
“it’s complicated for the conditions to bear a child. She is fragile and the estimated life span is just around 2 months, such a short time for her to continue the pregnancy. Her leukemia is fast progressing and can affect the development of the fetus. There are two options set out, either we save her or the baby.. we can do both however, the chances are slim and if that option is chosen, maybe we lose both lives.. at this point I leave everything to you, as he brother. However if you choose the adoption, the father’s consent must be accomplished.”
The doctor left them to think and Siwon is at a position he never wanted to be in. HE sat on one of the chairs as his mind thinks of a plan on how to save his sister’s life.. or both.
“I won’t allow it..”
Yesung muttered, making everyone stare at him, Siwon stood up and approached him.
“What ae you saying? You do know the consequences of your actions.. this is not a simple matte Yesung, we are talking about lives at stake”
Yesung looked at him with determined eyes.
“I won’t allow you to remove that single bond Ryeowook and I have.. it’s the only thing that connects me to her… the only proof of our love’s existence. If you take away that mere light of hope.. I will be nothing.. all this would be nothing.. I can’t lose her, I know.. but I can’t take the fact that I’ll be sacrificing another life.. there must be another way.. I’m sure of it.”
Yesung walked out leaving them all shocked and surprised, Siwon murmured to himself.
“I do hope so YEsung. I do hope you can save both of them..”
