Farewell kiss

The night before their graduation, they all gathered inside kibum’s room, she was recuperating for a month now, and finally she can meet her friends, talk and just have fun.. they were all there.. even minji and Rei.. however Siwon was missing.. Kibum felt a little hurt but still smiled for her friends..

HyukJae: so how are you feeling..

Kibum: I’m fine.. I feel a lot better. Dr. Shin came to check me up this morning, he said I’ll be dismissed in a week..

Sungmin: then what?

Kibum: I guess we’ll go back to LA..

Minji: what?! After I gave up on..

Rei gave a knowing look and minji changed her tone..

Minji: I mean.. you can’t even attend Heechulie-unni’s engagement party next month..

Kibum: heechulie?

Henry: one of the heiress..

Kibum: you mean the heiress heiress!

Christine: apparently, they’ll be announcing her engagement with China’s top idol Hangeng..

Kibum: why am I invited?

Yesung: because she’s my first love..

Yesung looked sad but wookie squeezed his hand and smiled reassuringly..

Yesung: but I moved on.. I have my wookie..

Kibum: so.. you’ll all come?

They all nodded..

Kibum: I guess I can stay a little longer..

Rei handed her a gift..

Rei: a little something for helping me..

Kibum: but you shouldn’t have..

Rei: take it.. it’s from me and minji.. for your graduation too..

Kibum: about that.. I won’t be able to attend..

Sungmin: we know.. Mrs. Choi already knows..

Kyuhyun: it’s ok.. you don’t need to attend.. they’ll be giving your diploma some other time..

Kibum: oh.. that’s good to hear.. there’s one thing bothering me though.. do you know who the donor was?

They all stood there silently.. not a soul wanted to talk..

Dr. Shin: confidentiality my dear..

Ryeowook: Dr. Shin, are there problems..

Dr. Shin: oh no.. not really.. it’s getting a bit late and Kibum needs to rest for now.. I hope it’s ok with you guys..

DongHae: aaawwww.. but we

HyukJae: let’s have a party when kibum gets really better..

DongHae: really? Can we do a sleep over?

Kibum: of course..

And so they all leave kibum to rest her pretty little head.

A few hours later, close to midnight, a person enters the room. He sat beside kibum as he watched her sleep so peacefully..

Siwon: I’m glad you’re ok now..

He touched her delicate face and tears started to fall

Siwon: I’m sorry.. I won’t be able to spend the rest of my life with you.. I thought I can save you and be your prince.. but it’s a little too late..

I hope you can live happily..

With a final sigh, he leaned forward and kissed kibum for the last time.. it was short.. it was sweet.. it was the last..

Siwon stood and left something on the nightstand beside the bed and then left.. Kibum opened her eyes as she felt warm lips only to find absolute darkness. She opened the bedside lamp and found a small box. She opened it and found a button.. it was Siwon’s second button..And now tears fell from her eyes..

Happy Graduation..

There were togas everywhere as each of the seniors hold their diplomas with pride and take pictures.. dozens.. if not millions.. girls where now trying to ask for the boys’ 2nd button..

As tradition dictates.. the 2nd button is closest to a boy’s heart.. this contains his feelings.. is failures.. his triumph, his sorrows.. his woes, his laughter, his smiles..

And so hoard of fangirls tried their luck to get the second button.. but..

Sungmin: kyuhyun!

Kyuhyun: what? Problem..

Sungmin pouted a little and batted his eyelashes..

Kyuhyun: oh please stop that I can’t resist..

Sungmin smiled as he pecked on kyuhyun’s cheek he then grabbed kyuhyun’s hands and place something in his palms..

Sungmin: I want you to have that..

Kyuhyun looked in surprise, it was Sungmin’s second button. Kyuhyun smiled and placed the button inside his pocket and gently tugged on his second button. HE stared at it a little then handed them to sungmin..

Kyuhyun: keep it..

And he bent down a little to kiss Sungmin.

Sunny: mom.. sungmin-oppa has a boyfriend.. can I have a boyfriend now?

Mrs. Lee smiled and nodded..

Mrs. Yoona Kim: c’mon Jongwoon get your butt in here and let me take a picture of you and wookie.. wookie dear.. congratulations.. you’re really adorable.. Jongwoon!!!

Yesung: since when did you get interested with photography?

Mrs. Yoona Kim: when Sheena took photos of kibum and siwon’s first date.. such a picture perfect couple..

Yesung: but mom..

Mrs. Yoona Kim: stop your blabbering..

And so yesung stood beside Ryeowook as Mrs. Kim and the other Mrs. Kim took Pictures..

Mrs. Yoona Kim: oh.. you must be wookie’s mother.. I’m yoona..

Mrs. Ria Kim: oh.. hello, I’m Ria.. I use my Japanese name..

Mrs. Yoona Kim: you’re Japanese?

Mrs. Ria Kim: ah.. I have a dual citizenship.. my husband worked in Japan a few years ago.. wookie was born there

Mrs. Yoona Kim: Isn’t that nice..

As the two Mrs. Kim chatted ryeowook took the opportunity to talk to yesung

Ryeowook: ah.. Yesung-hyung..

Yesung: what?!!?!?!? Why call me that? Who are you and what did you do to my wookie!

Ryeowook: woonie..

Yesung: yes my wookie?

Ryeowook: I want you to have this..

Ryeowook handed him his second button.. Yesung almost cried.. and the two Mrs. Kim’s finally took the opportunity to take stolen shots of the lovebirds..

Donghae was walking with Kangin when she spotted Hyukjae and Leeteuk.. she smiled as she walked dragging her furious brother along..

But she stopped when she noticed that hyukjae’s second bbutton was indeed missing.. She cried on the spot and Kangin cannot keep the urge to beat up hyukjae.. but leeteuk placed her hands on her waist and motioned for Kangin to leave the two to talk.. Kangin was more than happy to oblige.

HyukJae: hae.. why are you crying?

DongHae: how can you give your second button to someone else?

HyukJae: what?!?!? No!!! it’s here..

Hyukjae handed her the button which was kept inside his pocket..

HyukJae: I was afraid some girls might take it away so I removed it before hand.. don’t cry..

DongHae: oh hyukkie.. I thought.. you…

And he wiped away the tears and kissed her lovingly..

By now Henry is crying at the sight..

Christine: how can you be such a crybaby?

Henry: I’m not..

Christine: whatever..

Mrs. Choi personally came to Kibum to hand in her diploma. While there she noticed an open box on the bedside table, she smiled. She shook hands with Mrs. Kim and asked if they could talk in private, Mrs. Kim agreed.

Back in the Choi’s residence, Siwon locked himself again inside his room. Mrs. Choi entered

Mrs. Choi: a deal is a deal sweetie..

Siwon: when is the meet-up?

Mrs. Choi: next week..

Siwon: I’ll be ok by then.. but mom.. can you give me this week to move on and forget..

Mrs. Choi: do what you please..

A fairytale will end..

Siwon looked at himself in the mirror and once again wore the stone cold expression he had before meeting kibum. He looked like a real prince in his expensive suit, yet his heart longs for the princess he’ll never have. Mrs. Choi and Siwon went inside a hotel where a special room was prepared for their meeting. There was a lone table for six in the middle of the room, Mr. Choi was already there talking to a couple whom Siwon didn’t even know or recognize. The three stood as Mrs. Choi and Siwon Approached the table.

Mr. Choi: Bryan, Tina, you’ve met my wife Sheena, and this our son Andrew..

Siwon: Nice to meet you..

They took a seat and dinner was served.

Mr. Bryan Kim: I’m sorry, there was something that came up a while ago, so my daughter will be a little late..

A little lat was an understatement.. she was three hours late.. by that time, the two sets of parents had already decided on the engagement party, the transfer of documents.. the wedding the place the no. of attendees.. the..

girl: I’m sorry for being late..

Siwon froze as he heard a familiar voice.

Mr. Bryan Kim: ah, my daughter Brittney.. this is MR. Alex Choi and his wife Sheena.

Kibum finally looked at the people her dad introduced and was surprised to see Mrs. Choi, smiling as brightly.

Mr. Bryan Kim: and their son.. Andrew..

Siwon stood to face his future bride. He froze as reality dawn.. there stood in front of him was indeed Kibum.. or Brittney.. or whoever she is.. He took a deep breath as he nervously took a step forward.. Kibum did the same. When the finally came face to face.. Siwon instantly kissed her and wrapped his arms around the tiny waist as he drew her closer. Kibum deepened the kiss as she wrapped her arms around Siwon’s neck.. Their parents just smiled at the two.. they knew it was the right thing to do.. it was not just about the business.. it was for the sake of their children..

Siwon: kibum? Brittney? I don’t care.. how can..

Kibum: Siwon.. you’re Andrew?

Siwon nodded.. and embraced her..

Siwon: I thought I’ll loose you..

Kibum: I awoken when you kissed me..

Siwon: when, what.. you knew I was your donor?

Kibum: what?! You were my donor?

Mrs. Choi: here my dear..

Mrs. Choi handed Siwon a jewelry box, Siwon opened the box, inside was a necklace with an apple shaped diamond as a pendant. Kibum’s eyes widened

Kibum: you knew I was snow white?

Siwon: what?! You’re snow white? My chatmate?

Kibum: you’re my prince?!?!

Siwon: This is so confusing..

Kibum: I don’t care!

And so Kibum kissed Siwon so sweetly Siwon almost lost his control and wanted to take off their clothes.. but a prince must protect his princess..

Siwon then placed the necklace around Kibum’s neck.

Siwon: may I have this dance?

Kibum nodded and the two danced as the music played and their hearts beat as one..
