It is so simple a thing but it is also the most profound and elaborate thing in the body. Now some people would say that the brain is the most elaborate and profound but they would be wrong on so many a count.
Yes the brain controls the body and provides thought consciousness and reasoning. However! Is it not the heart that provides the mind with much needed blood and oxygen? It it not the heart that no living body can survive without?
Can the brain do that? Can any other organ do that? The answer is a resounding No! The heart brings life. The heart pumps required oxygen to every inch of the physical form. The heart can survive losing someone. The heart can survive betrayal. The heart can be scarred, broken, stabbed, shot, and burned metaphorically speaking and still carry on beating away.
