Back in Maine
I had a great little 4 day weekend. I picked my car up. It's an '89 Volvo 240 DL in mint condition. Literally only 32,000 miles. That averages out to only 2000 miles a year!!! The drive was decent. It was really cool in the Allegheny mountains in Western Pennsylvania because there was a huge rainbow. The best one I have seen in my entire life. It made a full arc over Rt. 80 as we were driving through the mountains. The brilliant green mountainous backdrop of the Alleghenies made me think I was in Ireland. It was pretty cool. I'll have some pictures of it posted up on webshots by this upcoming Friday. We stopped at a few truck stops. Scary shit. Some of the creepiest people I've ever seen. Lots of obese hicks with Bush/Cheney buttons all over them too. God what a fucked up country! Went out to LI yesterday and saw Deepti, Martin, and Irina. That was fun although the traffic jam back with manual transmission was a nightmare. Went out to Indian food and then to a cafe in Greenwich village where I saw some live music. So it was a good few days. Got back here with the weather reminding me that Maine is fucking cold!
