Hi from Positano
Hi folks-
Turns out there's internet here, and I had to send an urgent email or two. So, I'm also uploading my pictures from the long weekend, and giving y'all an update.
I'm definitely feeling rested and refreshed by my days here on the coast. There's plenty to see here, but I haven't been worrying about it much. I've been doing some pleasure reading, boning up on my music for Spoleto, and having lots of great meals by the beach.
Today I spent a few hours on Capri. I definitely have to come back sometime an spend more time. (I was scheduled to take the 7pm return boat, but they cancelled it due to mechanical problems, and so I had to return at 3:30pm.) Still, it was a beautiful place to spend some time, and it was great to get out on a boat for a bit. Got my first (mild) case of sunburn today, too (even though I'd bought (and applied) sunscreen this morning). I think it all got washed off when we turned abeam to the wind for 20 minutes, and our half of the boat got *very* wet from the bowspray. It was fun though. Like a nice long log flume ride. ;-)
Man, good thing I bought an hour of wireless time. This is definitely not broadband. Looks like the photos should finish uploading before I'm out of time though.
