I've had another cat person tell me the Dyson is the only choice. I know the cat hair battle is one I never win. One day, maybe!

When the opportunity presents itself, go for the Dyson :D. I was appreciative of my old model but this new model blows my expectations out of the water. It makes hoovering a joy!

I can fully understand the strength of the Dyson Cult now. And I'm firmly one of its converts. And my love for my DC-27 -- now named Conan -- continues to grow ever stronger :). My stairs have *never* been this clean before!! :D

I can now fully appreciate why!! Frequently, brands are played up without any real reason. But, I'd be more than happy to make a testimonial for Dyson.

Truly brilliant technology!! :D

Our old hoover was on its way out, so when we got the Dyson, the amount of cat fur picked up was astounding. Plus, I like how light it is and easy to maneuver and that's without having the ball. :)

I can fully understand and agree with your comments. This Dyson model *is* a heavy duty machine -- but when you live in a two storey semi-detached with carpets everywhere (and furry felines), you need a big vacuum. Back in the day when I lived in Toronto in a one bedroom flat I had a broom -- and it was all I needed with my hardwood floors:). It all comes down to current circumstances.

And thank you, I plan to enjoy my new Dyson greatly :D.

The Dyson is such a tremendous machine, do you think Brits will start calling vacuum cleaners dysons instead of hoovers?

I love my Dyson. Having a cat and a long haired dog and my hubby and I both having long hair, all our previous vacuums always died rather quickly. But our Dyson keeps on truckin' and sucking. It is so worth the money spent on it.

The Brits are a bit set in their ways, so this change might be a long time in the making ;).

I could not agree with you more. I did hesitate at first because of the cost, but the reviews won me over. And they were so right -- amazing power and simplicity of use. Win/win!! Sometimes you just need to spend the money on a quality item :D.
