So. Done and dusted -- Kate and Wills are married. And I for one, thoroughly enjoyed watching the wedding.
I thought Kate looked beautiful and carried herself with elegance and poise. And I thought her dress was beautiful and very classic. Clean structured lines, lovely lace over what was essentially a strapless dress, beautiful detailing on the skirt, simple veil and elegant tiara; she looked the part of a Queen-in-Waiting.
Wills looked dashing as to be expected and Harry looked like he was having far too much fun. All the parents looked fabulous and Pippa's dress was gorgeous; it complemented the elegance of Kate's in my opinion.
And I loved some of the touches; the coaches bringing in the extended family. Hee! How appropriate. And the trees in Westminster Abbey -- I thought they looked gorgeous. And the hats!!! *All* the gorgeous hats!! And the genuine affection between Wills and Kate as revealed through their looks and clearly amused exchanges. Awwww. Lovely.
And yay -- it didn't rain!!
And you know what? Kudos to the Royal fans who camped out for days in order to find a prime spot to watch the proceedings; a wedding like this only happens every 30 years or so. If I were a fan of an actor/musician/event who/what only appeared/happened once every 30 years, I'd be camping out myself for that once or twice in a lifetime event.
EDIT: how *adorable* was Wills driving Kate back to Clarence House in his dad's Aston Martin? Just the two of them!!!
