Another fabulous fangirly weekend! (Which may have included finally seeing Frankenstein :)).

Mar 06, 2011 21:38

Sunday evening finally rolls around after one of the busiest weekends I've had in a while. Not that I'm complaining. I've already posted about my Friday night adventures, and with the dawn of Saturday, Round Two began -- this time, off to the National Theatre with bigtitch, crowie, mogwai_do where we met up with evildrem, loreley_se and temaris for Frankenstein

Wow. ( Thoughts on the show together with minor spoilers... )

We left it too late to book for Frankenstein so it's very interesting to hear your opinion of it. Glad you had such good luck at the stage door!

"The Centaur and the Animal" sounds very...interesting. I have a friend who would love the horse elements but the rest doesn't sound quite my cup of tea.

Sounds like a great weekend!

Have you thought about booking a ticket for one of the National Theatre Live productions -- being screened across England (and the world)? I'm thinking about going to one of the screenings in London after work on March the 17th ... if I recall correctly.

As for the Stage Door, we were *very* lucky. I call it good fangirl karma :)

As for "The Centaur and the Animal" -- although I enjoyed the experience overall (unlike the number of people who left half way through), I really couldn't recommend it. It *is* a very unique production. Indeed.

Unfortunately it's a date we can't do. Oh, well...it's my own fault for not getting my act together quicker. I've been pretty lucky with theatre tickets recently (Colin *and* Rupert!) so I can't complain about fangirl karma deserting me this time.

Okay, that man really does have a rather pretty mouth, doesn't he? Thanks for sharing your report and photo! :)

He has a *gorgeous* mouth. Pictures don't lie!! And he's so utterly lovely and charming in person. And I loved the fact that he refused to sign a random piece of Doctor Who memorabilia which one of the autograph hunters handed to him. Along those lines, he asked each of us our names and made sure to personalize what he was signing -- no doubt to limit the e-bay attraction of his autograph. I heartily approve :).

Okay, I like him quite a bit deal more now. Smart and lovely - what a great combination. :)

(As I've run out of good Sherlock icons, here you are, which pretty much captures my thoughts! -- points to the left).

There is no doubt that Mr. Cumberbatch has his head solidly on his shoulders. He knows how to keep the fans happy while maintaining his personal standards. He's a truly lovely gent :D.
