In a Dark Wood Cover Contest - THE WINNER
A very, very sincere thank you to everyone who submitted. I wish I'd needed more than one cover. There were so many wonderful options -- so much inventiveness and creativity offered up. It made it almost impossible to choose. In fact, my ultimate decision was largely based on something I hadn't even considered until I was trying to decide between my "finalists" -- and that was how the photos worked in thumbnail size. So often thumbnail is the size used to display and promote and some of the loveliest covers simply looked like a blur once they were reduced to thumbnails.
Anyway, since I can only choose one cover, I'd like to give everyone who submitted a cover a copy of In a Dark Wood when its re-released -- just a small thank you for your effort.
