so in my technical writing class yesterday, i decide to check my email. i've been trying to get a hold of the judges for patient counseling, especially since the finals are scheduled for the end of this week and i kind of need the results. so one of the judges emails me and says that she's going to take the stuff to the nmpha executive counsel meeting at the winrock inn yesterday. i decide to stop by there after class. so i walk in and at this meeting are pretty much the top leaders from all of the state pharmacist associations, our new dean, and some of my professors. i didn't want to be rude and ask for the results and then leave so i sat down, because they were due for a break. during the break i was talking with the judges and it turns out that both of them forgot to bring their patient counseling stuff. then michel decides to introduce me to everyone else and to just wait till the meeting starts again. so after break, she gets up and introduces me and i have to speak in front of all of them. i just said something about how i was thankful for the opportunity and we appreciated the association's involvement in the COP and that involved students become involved pharmacists. pretty much just thinking on the spot. so they all clap and start meeting business. i couldn't just get up and leave because i didn't want to seem rude. so i ended up staying there for the rest of the meeting, 3 1/2 hours longer than i had planned. and i didn't even get to leave right away when it ended because our new dean wanted to talk to me. it was kind of funny though because he said "so you're jennifer" which i don't know how to take. probably because i'm so involved and i've still managed to be one of the top five students in the class, i'm hoping. i guess i just know a lot of people.

so i get home after a long day and my parents friends from out of town were there. they came down to visit for the weekend. we cooked a big steak dinner and talked for a while. it was nice, i haven't seen them for a while.

also saw the chamber of secrets last night with shital. we were walking into the theater and my boss dina was there too. so we ended up sitting with them. it was a great movie. i was a little disappointed that they didn't develop some of the characters though, but even without that, it was almost 3 hours long.

i'm procrastinating studying right now. perhaps i should get started
