Tom ruined our D.C. plans by bailing out. So, back to the drawing board for Spring Break ideas.
We're almost half way through the semester, and senior project is going fairly well. One problem to the class is this: if you get your project done early, then the faculty will add more requirements; if you get it done late, you risk not passing and (therefore) not graduating. Thus, both extremes (over-achieving & procrastinating) are to be avoided. Rather, I'm trying to pace my project progress. This is all one more example of how academia fails to emulate industry.
Nonagon Bible study is a definite highlight of this semester. We've gone through Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, and we'll now be hitting Song of Solomon, which will be interesting since our Bible study is all guys (since Tom left).
I won't be returning to beach lifeguarding this year. I'll have an actual career soon, and 40 hours/week will be enough working for me. I'll need the weekends off for making the most of "Our last carefree summer", as Tom is calling it.
Sarah and I were thinking about going on a double date with Tom and his girlfriend until we found out Tom is miserably single.
