AAAAAND DONE

I'm in Texas. Woot! Better yet, I'm all the way in Round Rock at my sister's place. It was a long drive, but a relatively uneventful and other than the typical aches and such that come with driving however long it took to get here, it was low stress.

It's funny. I only spent a month and a half here a few years ago, but I'm really really happy to be here now and it has a home-type feeling. I realize that my fears of having to answer someone and the oppressive feeling of obligation or manipulation by family members doesn't concern me for the next day at least (aka, until my parents get here). My sister and brother-in-law have two growing children to worry about. While they ask some things of me and give me warnings about the city and such, they have no intention of weighing me down. But, as caring family members they simply worry and want to make sure I'm okay and safe in whatever I'm doing. The trade for that? I pulled up tonight to hugs, excited running around by Michael changing "Aun-ty-Jen-na" and dinner on the stove waiting for me. At that price, calling to check in and let them know I'm alive and a heads up as to when I'm on my way home is manageable.

Beyond that, I'm pretty tired and even more excited about tomorrow. Tomorrow I get to see the boys (Manning was already in bed when I got here), and then I get to meet the boys (as in, the other members of Jenn's band from a while back). :-)
