the gospel of judas
so my dad and i were watching discovery chanel (yes.. yes i'm a nerd) and they've found an original gospel. they're calling it the gospel of judas cause its really focused on him. apparently (in this gospel) jesus ASKS judas to betray him. like its some kind of secrit plot.
i think that thats absolutely bizzar and i have no idea what my opinion on that is... i will say its false because i know jesus would never have hidden anything. he wouldnt secritly ask judas to betray him. that would be close to a bad thing and jesus was pure. it wouldnt work. but having a historical document like that found is pretty neat. i mean, its obsurd what the teaching is, but think about this
the romans PAID the guards at the tomb to say that the disciples stole the body. they would do anything to ruin jesus's reputation. including write a fake gospel i'm sure. i've just found out about this myself. saw the actual document on tv so... i guess its there... i dunno... its a completely new thought that i've never thought of before..."what if jesus asked judas to betray him?" it goes against the bible, so it cant be true, but its a very interesting opinion.
