So I've been doing a lot today/night that involved me avoiding updating this thing. Mostly cause I hate how daunting it gets. Like, I think, "oh, a whole bunch of cool shit happened, thus I should update... but then, a WHOLE BUNCH of cool shit happened, thus I'll have to type lots and--ooh look, something shiny!" So yeah.
Thursday my dog ate my glasses. Like, completely. Well, okay, not ate, cause that would be bad and he'd likely be quite ill. But he managed to remove both lenses, and presumably chew both beyond any practicality. I can't be sure of this, as I only found one of the lenses. Point's this~> I CAN'T SEE SHIT! I got about 4 feet of visibility. Thus driving, especially at night, is slightly suicidal for me. Oy.
Anyway, I took said dog, loaded him up into the van, and I drove up to my mom's place near Stacy. Stayed up there til Saturday. Had a blast. Friday my mom and I went shopping at Tanger Outlet center in North Branch, and did much damage. For example, I went to the Gap outlet, and got a pair of pants, a t-shirt, and an Oxford shirt, for $40. Yeah, exactly. Then I went to some other place, and bought a structured corduroy jacket which was originally $100, for $20. I > shopping. Friday night mom and I built a fire down by the lake, and proceeded to drink too much wine. And then I called Beth. Muahahaha.
Saturday, I somehow managed to be awake, and not hungover, by 8 AM. No real reason for it. So then I got up and just kind hung out for awhile. Had the brilliant idea to go down to the lake and sit in the grass and just enjoy it. Which I did, until I looked over at my chair and saw a spider, and another one, and another one. Like 5 in all of varying sizes, all on my wheelchair. OH FUN! So the house on the lake lost a lot of it's appreciation from me. Fuckin spiders.
Saturday evening I left there, came back to hastings, dropped Brutus off at my dad's. Then I picked up Jana and we went to Rocky Horror. Yay! Had a good time there. I won Group Sax. Every week they auction off the inflatable saxaphone they use for the Hot Patootie scene-- it is pink and signed by the cast (and some of the crew, I think). So yay for that. Boo to that being Mo's last show, though. Mo fuckin rocks, and will be missed as Columbia & Emcee.
Um, today I slept til 3, neglected to go retrieve Brutus from my dad's, and went to pizza hut for dinner. YAY.
Sleep now.
