So saturday I got to hang out with Jana. OMG fun. We went to Chipotle for food, then went up to Minneapolis. Saw "V for Vendetta". Holy shit. It was just so fuckin awesome. Must see it again. I definitely saw a lot of subtle references to Phantom of the Opera in it, which was cool. But wow. Definitely gotta own that on DVD when it comes out.
After the movie, we wandered for a while. Got sorta lost near Uptown, trying to find Tatters (which, upon finding, we discovered was closed), then we went to Hard Times for a while, then back to Uptown to get food, then to RHPS. Rocky was fun, and such. We were gonna go to Sex World after Rocky, but we were both too tired, so thus ended the evening.
Sunday I hung out with Alex. Picked him up at his dorm, and we went to the gayest Applebee's ever. lol. An Applebee's staffed almost entirely by impossibly attractive gay boys. It was like we stepped into a rainbow-tinted twilight zone. SO awesome. So we got to eat and oggle. Well, I oggled, Alex teased me for oggling. Good times all around. Anyway, we went back to his dorm, and watched really old horror films which were quite fun. Started out with a classic, the original "Night of the Living Dead" (1968), followed by "Attack of the Giant Leeches" (1959), then the fascinating "Carnival of Souls" (1962), and finished with "Bloodlust!" (1961). Good times, good times. I actually really liked "Carnival of Souls", but it was really strange. Alex and I both realized quite quickly that "Bloodlust!" is based quite closely on Richard Connell's short story The Most Dangerous Game. Still an interesting adaptation though.
Today I had to work, which was meh.
